The free roster

Five characters you can get without pulling. Chiz is the headline — a free S-Class carry; the rest form a strong support core around her.

The F2P starter team

Chiz carries on-field while Hanielbuffs the team's ATK, Zero adds Cosmos sub-DPS and energy, and Adler shields and opens reactions. Swap Adler for Mintwhen you want more AoE damage over survivability. It's a genuine clear-everything team built entirely from free units.

Where to spend (build priority)

  1. Chiz first, all in. She's your free S-Class carry — push her City Tycoon unlocks, build Lost Radiance, and farm her ascension. Resources spent on Chiz are never wasted because she's permanent and free.
  2. Then the support shell. Haniel (Speedy Hedgehog) and Zero are cheap to make functional — they just need to fire skills and Ultimates, not big stat sticks.
  3. Adler / Mint to taste. Adler for shields and Scorch access; Mint for AoE. Both are 4★, so they ascend cheaply.
  4. Gear the carry, not the supports. Put your best Module sub-stats and the cassette 4-piece on Chiz; supports only need their set effect online (see the Equipment guide).

F2P save strategy

Because the free roster already clears early-to-mid content, F2P pulling is about patience, not panic:

  • Take Sagiri with the 50-roll Standard selector — a universal support who lifts every team, including your free one.
  • Then bank everything for one limited carry you actually want. NTE has no 50/50, so your pity is never wasted — and Limited pity carries between banners (see the Gacha guide).
  • Don't spread pulls. One built limited carry beats three half-built ones — your free units cover the support slots for free.

Honest limit: the free roster is strong through early and mid game, but top limited carries pull ahead at the hardest endgame. Free units stay relevant as the support backbone — Haniel and Chiz in particular keep their seats long-term.
