What is Neverness to Everness?
Neverness to Everness (NTE) is the open-world free-to-play action RPG developed by Hotta Studio, a subsidiary of Perfect World Games. The global release is scheduled for April 29, 2026 on PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, and macOS, with full cross-platform save support. Players take the role of an Appraiser in the modern city of Hethereau, a metropolis where supernatural anomalies leak into everyday streets, office towers, and subway systems.

The core gameplay blends hack-and-slash combat with open-world exploration and driveable vehicles. Your party of Espers — the game's summonable playable characters — hunts hostile anomalies, drives through the city on motorcycles and tuned cars, and pushes back the waves of corruption that twist Hethereau into a supernatural battleground. Between missions you can investigate the city's districts, complete appraisal jobs for residents, and decorate your own apartment with Anomaly Furniture that boosts your property's Comfort, Fortune, Love, and Collection buffs.
NTE's progression is built on three equipment layers: Arcs are the weapons that define each Esper's kit, Cartridges are console-style gear pieces that grant 2-piece and 4-piece suit bonuses, and Modules are shape-based drive pieces that snap into a console grid. Shards then refine the build for niche content. ZeroLuck.GG data-mines every piece so the numbers you see on our wiki match the ones the game loads at runtime.
How to play Neverness to Everness
Combat basics
Combat uses a three-Esper party with one active and two off-field characters. You chain basic attacks, dodge with i-frames, swap between Espers to stack element reactions, and trigger burst ultimates when your energy meter is full. Each Esper has a signature element and a role (DPS, Sub-DPS, Sustain, or Support), and team building is about stacking the right element reactions for the content you're running.
Espers and gacha
Espers are pulled from limited and standard banners through the Gacha system. Each Esper has a rarity, an element (Incantation, Chaos, Anima, Cosmos, Psyche, Lakshana), a core skill kit, an ascension path, and compatible Arc recommendations. Duplicates raise a trait called Refinement that unlocks additional passive effects and improves skill scaling.
Arcs, Cartridges and Modules
Arcs are the main weapon and come with their own rarity, base stats, and refinement passives. Cartridges are paired in 2-piece and 4-piece suits to grant stat boosts and triggered effects — each suit name corresponds to a distinct playstyle. Modules are smaller console grid drives with defined shapes that must be placed inside the console to apply their stats. Balancing all three is the main build puzzle.
World, vehicles and housing
Hethereau is explored on foot or behind the wheel — cars, motorcycles, and mopeds are fully driveable and support module-based tuning and skin customization. Properties are purchasable apartments, villas, and offices; placing Anomaly Furniture inside boosts four persistent buffs (Comfort, Fortune, Love, Collection) that carry into combat and exploration.
Endgame and progression
Endgame content includes ranked weekly bosses, a challenge arena, co-op dungeons, and seasonal open-world anomalies. Ascension, skill upgrades, and Module refinement are the long-term resource sinks, so planning ahead matters. Our Ascension Planner tracks every material across multiple Espers so you know exactly what to farm before each patch.
