What is Seven Deadly Sins: Origin?
Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is Netmarble's open-world action RPG built on Unreal Engine 5, set in the world of Britannia from the Seven Deadly Sins anime and manga. Released globally in March 2026 on PC, Android, and iOS with cross-save progression, it pairs the franchise's signature characters with real-time combat, large-scale exploration, and cooperative PvE content.
Combat pairs each hero with one of multiple weapon loadouts — a support staff, a grimoire, a bow, or a melee weapon — and the loadout fundamentally changes the character's role. The same character can be a healer, a burst DPS, or a crowd-controller depending on the weapon equipped, so build planning is central to the game. Skills scale with character ascension, weapon mastery, and gear set bonuses, and every content mode rewards a slightly different balance of stats.
Combat basics
Combat is real-time with dodge, block, and skill-based cooldowns. Each character has a basic combo, three unique skills, and an ultimate that charges with hits taken and dealt. Element affinity gates efficient damage against specific bosses, so bringing a team whose elements match the encounter is a core mechanic rather than a nice-to-have.
Characters and gacha
New heroes are unlocked through the gacha system, free starter pulls, and limited-time event rewards. Each character has a rarity grade, base stats, unique passives, and a canonical signature weapon that unlocks additional effects when equipped. Dupes raise a character's Affinity rank and unlock new skill nodes and passive bonuses.
Weapons and gear
Gear is split into weapons, which define the skill kit, and full armor sets that grant 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses. Sub-stats roll within defined ranges, so enhancing and re-rolling gear is a meaningful part of character optimization.
