TL;DR — 5 steps to the Arc

The entire process lives inside City Tycoon, one of the four Hethereau Hobbies tracks. There is no banner, no event, no pity. You climb Tycoon levels and the Arc is automatically delivered at the right tier.

  1. 1

    Unlock City Tycoon

Complete the prologue chapters until the Hethereau Hobbies menu opens — City Tycoon is one of the four hobby tracks.

  2. 2

    Push to Tycoon Level 4

Open the Cafe by Origen as soon as you can. Passive hourly Fons income — every hour the cafe sits idle is income you never recover.

  3. 3

    Reach Tycoon Level 18

Chiz herself joins your roster automatically at this milestone. Her on-hit Fons generation accelerates every remaining Tycoon tier.

  4. 4

    Hit Tycoon Level 21

Cumulative Fons threshold + two property milestones (own 2 properties, 100 footprint in Illusion Town). Contemplative Cat lands in your inbox the moment the level pops.

  5. 5

    Keep climbing

Subsequent Tycoon tiers drop additional copies — refine R1 → R5 entirely free.

The Tycoon route — 4 → 8 → 11 → 18 → 21

Every Tycoon tier requires both a cumulative Fons threshold and a set of tier-specific objectives. Hitting just one gate stalls you at the previous level. Below are the five milestones that matter for the Contemplative Cat run.

  1. Level 4

    Cafe by Origen

    Passive Fons engine

The single most important early unlock. Buy ingredients yourself rather than paying delivery — the delivery fee compounds and eats your margin on every cycle.

  2. Level 8

    City Delivery

    Active Fons farm

Cross-district deliveries on a timer with cargo-damage scoring. Beats other hobbies on raw Fons-per-minute and runs without a tuned vehicle.

  3. Level 11

    Pink Paws Bank Heist

    Two-week burst payout

Timed stealth run inside the Pink Paws Bank — hundreds of thousands of Fons per successful pull. Resets on a 14-day cycle, so calendar the refresh and clear it the moment it opens.

  4. Level 18

    Chiz unlocked

    Compounding Fons gain

Chiz's kit generates Fons on basic-attack kills. Slot her into your active team for general open-world play — she pays for her own ascension while you push to 21.

  5. Level 21

    Contemplative Cat unlocked

    Arc lands in your inbox

Requirements at this tier: ~6.79M cumulative Fons, own 2 properties, and reach 100 footprint points in Illusion Town. Clear both objectives and the Arc unlocks the instant you hit the threshold.

Level 21 unlock requirements

Three gates fire simultaneously at Tycoon Level 21. Miss any one and the level — and the Arc with it — stays locked.

  • Fons threshold~6,788,600 Fons

Cumulative across all your earnings — the system tracks total Fons earned, not current wallet. Spending freely is fine, you don't need to hoard.

  • PropertiesOwn 2 properties

Any combination of apartments, villas or offices. Buy the cheapest second property in tier — overspending here delays the Fons threshold check.

  • Exploration100 footprint points in Illusion Town

Footprint comes from interacting with district POIs — phone booths, anomalies, side quests, photo spots. Pure exploration; not gated behind combat.

The reward popup at Level 21 also drops 20× Annulith, 800 Hunter EXP, 5× Chaotic Dye and 12,500 Beetle Coinalongside the Arc. Don't auto-claim and walk away — confirm the Arc is in your inventory before closing.

Passive — "Mammon"

The Arc passive scales with the Fons currently in your wallet, capped at 10 stacks (1,000,000 Fons). At R5 with the cap met, that's a flat +45% Cosmos DMG on the wearer — directly competitive with five-star gacha signatures, and entirely free.

R1+2.5% Cosmos DMG

Per 100,000 Fons currently held, up to 10 stacks (1M Fons = full stack).

R2+3.0% Cosmos DMG

Per 100,000 Fons, up to 10 stacks. Same scaling cap.

R3+3.5% Cosmos DMG

Per 100,000 Fons, up to 10 stacks.

R4+4.0% Cosmos DMG

Per 100,000 Fons, up to 10 stacks.

R5+4.5% Cosmos DMG

Per 100,000 Fons, up to 10 stacks. Max value: +45% Cosmos DMG when carrying 1M+ Fons.

How refinements drop

Subsequent Tycoon tiers above Level 21 each deliver an additional copy of the Arc as part of the milestone reward chain. There is no fodder-merge route — you progress from R1 to R5 purely by climbing Tycoon levels. Push the hobby system to completion and the Arc maxes itself.

Common mistakes

  • Burning Fons on cosmetics or vehicle skins while pushing to Tycoon 21 — every Fons you spend delays the cumulative threshold check at each tier.
  • Skipping the Pink Paws Heist refresh. A missed two-week cycle is hundreds of thousands of Fons gone forever, and that's roughly one full Tycoon tier of progress.
  • Pre-buying a second property far above your Tycoon level expecting it to count toward Level 21's 'own 2 properties' objective — it does count, but you'll be cash-starved for the actual Fons threshold. Buy in tier.
  • Forgetting the Illusion Town footprint objective. The Fons number alone won't unlock the level — exploration is the silent gate.
  • Spending the first Contemplative Cat copy as fodder before pulling R5. Every refinement comes from progression, not duplicates — there's no fodder upgrade path, you just keep climbing Tycoon levels.
