Blossom Team
NTE's off-field AoE archetype. Cosmos + Anima spawns Vita Buds that fire homing Pistils at everything nearby — and the team's whole job is to multiply how many Buds and Pistils are on the field while an Anima carry crits off them.
Overview
Verdict
The best wave-clear and multi-target archetype in the game: Vita Pistils home onto every enemy in range and tick independently of who's on field. It scales with Bud/Pistil count rather than a single big hit, so it's consistent and very strong in groups, slightly weaker against a lone boss than a dedicated single-target carry.
Ratings
The reaction — and why it's a team
Blossom fires when the team lands Cosmos and Anima on the same target: “Generates 1 Vita Bud near the target after triggering Esper Cycle, which blossoms 5 Vita Pistils. Vita Pistils then fly toward targets within range, exploding every 2s and dealing DMG to an area. Up to 3 Vita Buds can exist on the field at once.” Alone it's a trickle of homing AoE — the team is built to spawn more Buds, fire more Pistils, and crit harder.
More Than Passionate: Fires 10 Vita Pistils with Vita Bud, reducing the interval between each shot to 1s.
Doubles the Pistil count and the fire rate — the single biggest output boost to Blossom.
Seize the Moment: Spawns 1 additional Vita Bud and increases the Vita Bud limit on field to 6.
Doubles the Bud cap from 3 to 6 — twice as many Pistil fountains at once.
Transform! Super Mint!: Expands Vita Pistils' damage area on hit.
Turns Blossom into wide AoE — the free 4★ way to broaden coverage.
Ghost Orchid Crest: Prevents Vita Bud attacks from pausing during Time Stop.
Lets the Buds keep firing inside Hotori's Time Stop burst window.
Plus the gear: Fireflies and the Forest (4-piece) stacks +8% CRIT DMG, up to 7, whenever a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the team — and it keeps stacking off-field. See the Equipment guide for the full set.
Roles & unit options
A Blossom team fills these jobs. Pick one unit per role to what you own.
Anima Carry
The DPS that crits off the Pistils and adds its own Anima damage.
Blossom Enabler
Brings the Cosmos half so the Esper Cycle spawns Buds.
Field Amplifier
More Buds, more Pistils, wider area — the multiplier slot.
Support / Flex
Sustain or a second Cosmos for more cycle triggers.
Budget Cosmos healer that doubles as a Blossom enabler.
Sample teams
Templates built from the roles above — pick to your roster.
Anima Blossom
Best ceilingTwo Anima multipliers (Nanally's Pistils + Jiuyuan's 6-Bud cap) feeding off a Cosmos enabler. The 4th slot is flexible and sources differ: Hotori for the Time-Stop burst version, or Sakiri for a raw ATK% buff — both are commonly run.
Budget Blossom
F2P-leaningMint's free wide-AoE carry with Edgar enabling and sustaining. Swap in any S-rank Anima or Cosmos you own to raise the ceiling.
Rotation principle
The frame-perfect loop depends on the carry — open that character's own guide for it. The archetype loop is always the same:
Trigger Blossom
Land Cosmos (enabler) and Anima (carry) on the target to fire the Esper Cycle — a Vita Bud spawns and starts blossoming Pistils.
Multiply the field
Cycle the field amplifier (Jiuyuan for +Buds, Nanally for +Pistils) so the screen fills with homing Pistils.
Carry crits off the Pistils
Keep the Anima carry's stacks rolling — Fireflies' off-field CRIT DMG builds while the Pistils tick.
Refresh & burst
Re-trigger Blossom before Buds expire (max 3, or 6 with Jiuyuan) and fire the carry's burst inside the window.
- Against a single stationary boss, a dedicated single-target carry can out-DPS Blossom — it shines most when there are multiple targets.
- Needs both a Cosmos and an Anima unit at minimum to trigger at all.
- Pair with a Lakshana + Remora line to chain Blossom + Remora into the Charge trio for Ultimate energy.
