Nanally Guide
The Colucci Ichi-daime is the community's top-rated DPS in Patch 1.0 — a follow-up Main DPS with one of the lowest-APM loops in Version 1.0. Her ceiling is team-built, not solo: bring an Esper Cycle trigger and she turns every hit into a cascade of free damage.

Ratings
Ratings are contextual: she is a top-tier boss carry, strong in groups, but rated mid on Investment / F2P because her ceiling needs a specific core and her signature arc.
Community read — ZeroLuck tier-vote, Patch 1.0 (live, n=75 votes across roles): DPS SS 4.93/5 (68 votes) · Hybrid S 3.75/5 (4) · Support C 0.67/5 (3). She is voted almost exclusively as a pure DPS — the hybrid/support scores are low-sample noise, not a real flex role.
Trend: she recently shifted SS → S in the rolling tier movement, so she is still elite but no longer the uncontested #1 — watch the live tier list for the current standing.
Strengths
- Very low APM for a Main DPS — buff, Skill, Ultimate, then attack
- Follow-up cascade scales hard with Awakenings and ATK buffs
- Excellent single-target boss output
- Underboss + Jiuyuan CC make her strong in grouped content too
- Base kit clears story and mid difficulty with no investment
Weaknesses
- Hard dependency on an Esper Cycle trigger (Zero) for Fair Duel
- Signature arc Ready-Ready has no farmable 5★ substitute
- Fixed setup rotation — weak if cast out of order
- Ceiling is team-built, not a plug-and-play solo carry
Gameplay — Ichi-daime’s Authority & the Follow-up Cascade
Nanally’s entire kit is gated behind one state: Ichi-daime’s Authority, entered with her Skill. Outside Authority she is a plain Anima brawler. Inside it, three damage sources stack on top of every hit she lands.
The three follow-up sources
- Underboss (Ultimate) — coordinates a follow-up on every hit Nanally lands; A4 doubles its damage
- Fair Duel (passive) — every teammate Esper Cycle adds a 60% ATK follow-up, max once / 2s
- Call Me the Boss (A3) — +1 follow-up per second on her own hits, on top of Fair Duel
This is why she is a team-built carry, not a solo one: two of those three sources only matter if the team feeds Esper Cycles and she stays on field for the full Authority window. Get that right and her damage is a continuous stream rather than a single nuke — get it wrong (no Esper Cycle source, early swap) and the cascade never forms.
Skills
Upgrade priority
- Colucci Ultimate Technique
- Colucci Howling Technique
- Colucci Secret Skill
- Justice from Above
Ultimate
Colucci Ultimate Technique
Deals 7 instances of Anima DMG to surrounding enemies and summons Underboss to fight alongside Nanally. While Underboss is active, all of Nanally’s attacks create a small pull on surrounding enemies and Underboss coordinates with every hit — dealing Anima DMG that also counts as follow-up damage. This is the heart of her damage: cast it right after entering Authority so both effects overlap.
Skill
Colucci Howling Technique
Deals 5 instances of Anima DMG and wraps Nanally in Anima Esper Ability, entering the Ichi-daime’s Authority state for 12s (15s with A6, 20s out of combat) or until she is switched out. Authority is the gate for her entire follow-up engine — nothing in her kit fires until it is active. Recasting it ends Authority early, so only re-press it to reset.
Normal Attack
Colucci Secret Skill
Up to a 5-hit Anima combo; hold for Heavy Hitter follow-up swings, aim mode (Colucci Secret Gundo) for single-target, and a plunging Grand Entrance that scales up to +100% with fall height. Dodging never breaks the combo. During Authority this is your primary filler — every hit lets Underboss coordinate a follow-up, so attack uptime is damage.
Chain Skill
Justice from Above
A spinning swap-in kick dealing 1 instance of AoE Anima DMG. Cheap to use and keeps the follow-up chain alive if Authority is still running when you rotate her in. Lowest upgrade priority — its multiplier is small next to Skill and Ultimate.
Passive
More Than Passionate
Blossom Enhancement: the Vita Bud now fires 10 Vita Pistils and the interval between shots drops to 1s. This passive plugs Nanally into NTE’s shared Blossom (Vita Bud) system — the same mechanic Mint, Jin and Jiuyuan interact with — rather than being a self-contained buff. It pays off most in an Anima Blossom team where the extra Pistils and faster cadence feed the Esper Cycle that her second passive converts into follow-up damage.
Passive
Fair Duel
While Nanally is in Ichi-daime’s Authority, whenever any team member deals 1 instance of Esper Cycle DMG to an enemy, Nanally adds 1 follow-up attack for 60% ATK Anima DMG (scaling with Normal Attack level — 129.5% at level 11). Triggers at most once every 2s. This is the line that turns a teammate’s Esper Cycle into Nanally damage — it is why she wants an Esper Cycle trigger on the team, not just raw buffers.
Skill scaling — Lv 1 → Lv 11
Real damage ratios (% of ATK) from the in-game codex. Use this to pick the next skill level instead of guessing — Ultimate and Fair Duel are the biggest jumps per book invested.
| Source | Lv 1 | Lv 11 |
|---|---|---|
| Skill — Colucci Howling (Area) | 100% ×5 | 215.9% ×5 |
| Ultimate — instant burst | 293% + 42% ×5 + 495% | 633% + 91% ×5 + 1070% |
| Underboss — Support Skill hit | 150% | 323.8% |
| Chain Skill — Justice from Above | 200% | 431.8% |
| Fair Duel — follow-up (passive) | 60% ATK | 129.5% ATK |
Fair Duel scales with Normal Attack level (not Skill / Ultimate), which is why Normal Attack stays at priority 3 in the upgrade list above — its leveling powers the passive cascade, not just the combo damage.
Sourcing: every other row above comes from the imported scaling table. Fair Duel’s 129.5% at Lv 11 is read directly from the in-game DataTable — its scaling table is absent from the imported skill payload, so we surface the raw value rather than omit it.
Awakenings
Priority: A3 → A4 → A6 → A1 → A5 → A2, with A7 / A8 last. She is fully functional at A0 — awakenings raise her ceiling, they do not gate her. A3 is the biggest single jump because it doubles the follow-up cascade; A4 then doubles Underboss, which scales every hit.
A3
Call Me the Boss
Adds 1 more follow-up attack (50% ATK Anima DMG) whenever Nanally deals damage in Authority — at most once per second. Stacks on top of Fair Duel: together they form a near-continuous follow-up cascade. The single biggest power spike on her chart.
A4
Not a Troublemaker
+100% Underboss damage. Underboss coordinates with every hit you land, so doubling it multiplies the whole burst window, not just one skill. Take it right after A3.
A6
Because We’re Family
Extends Ichi-daime’s Authority to 15s (20s out of combat). More Authority time = more Fair Duel + A3 follow-ups and a longer Underboss window every rotation.
A1
Gang Formation
+2.5 Ultimate Energy per follow-up (max once/sec). With the cascade running, this recharges Ultimate fast — tighter rotation, less downtime between burst windows.
A5
Followers Everywhere
+2% ATK per follow-up performed, stacking to +20%. Builds up during the window but resets when she leaves the field — keep her in until Authority ends to bank the full stack.
A2
Second Member
Underboss lasts 3s longer. A clean window extension — worth it once A3 / A4 / A6 / A1 are secured.
A7
Colucci Secrets Part 1
+1 skill level to Normal Attack, Skill and Ultimate. A flat stat-stick — unlock late.
A8
Colucci Secrets Part 2
+15% global damage dealt. Strong on paper, but only after every other awakening is in — it is the last copy you will ever realistically reach.
Best Arc
Ready-Ready is the clear best-in-slot — but it is a banner arc with no farmable 5★ replacement, so the honest answer depends on your wallet. The alternatives below close most of the gap for everyday content.
Cassette Set & Stats
- 2-piece: Anima DMG +10%
- 4-piece: +8% wearer CRIT DMG when a nearby enemy takes Anima DMG from the team, up to 7 stacks (10s each, persists off-field)
The 2-piece amplifies her element directly; the 4-piece converts her own follow-up stream (plus Jiuyuan’s Anima DMG) into a near-permanent +56% CRIT DMG through the burst window. No competitive alternative.
Stat Priority
Best Team
Anima · Plasma. Activate Authority, summon Underboss, then spam Normal Attack — every hit is a follow-up trigger. Stay on field for the full Authority window.
Cosmos. Each of his Esper Cycle hits is the exact trigger Fair Duel listens for — every one fires a free Nanally follow-up of 60% ATK (scaling to 129.5% at skill lv11), capped once / 2s. Cut him and that line drops to ~0 procs: he is mathematically the single highest-value slot, not a flex pick.
Her A4 (Wishful Reliance) grants the team ATK equal to 30% of her Base ATK for 20s, applied off-field. Nanally’s damage is almost entirely ATK-scaled follow-ups, so a flat +ATK multiplies the whole cascade — Underboss hits, Fair Duel, and A3 all at once, not one skill.
Anima. Seize the Moment spawns +1 Vita Bud and raises the on-field cap to 6 — directly feeding More Than Passionate (Blossom Enhancement: 10 Vita Pistils, 1s interval). Her Lethal Rose Pact also groups enemies so a single Underboss coordinate hit cleaves the pack, turning Nanally’s single-target cascade into AoE.

Optimal Rotation
Pre-buff off-field
Deploy your buffer / Esper-Cycle setup first (in the meta team: Sagiri Ultimate → Zero Skill+Ultimate → Jiuyuan Skill+Ultimate), swapping out as each finishes. None of these need to stay on field.
Skill — enter Authority
Swap to Nanally and cast Colucci Howling Technique. Ichi-daime’s Authority is now live for 12s (15s with A6). Nothing in her kit works before this — it is always the first thing she does.
Ultimate — summon Underboss
Immediately cast Colucci Ultimate Technique. Underboss now coordinates a follow-up on every hit you land, and enemies get pulled in. Skill-then-Ultimate ordering makes both effects overlap for the whole window.
Spam Normal Attack
Hold/chain Colucci Secret Skill. Each hit = an Underboss follow-up; each teammate Esper Cycle = a Fair Duel follow-up (every 2s); with A3, +1 follow-up per second on her own hits. Attack uptime is literally damage here.
Stay until Authority ends
Do not swap early. A5 ATK stacks and the follow-up cascade only pay off if she finishes the window on field. Swap out only once Authority drops, then rebuild energy and repeat from step 1.
Golden rule: Skill before Ultimate, then never swap until Authority ends.

Should You Pull?
Pull if…
- You want a Main DPS with low-APM, readable gameplay — buff, press Skill + Ultimate, then just keep attacking
- You own or plan to pull Zero (or another reliable Esper Cycle source) — he is the trigger engine for Fair Duel
- Boss fights and grouped content are your focus — Underboss + Jiuyuan’s CC turn the window into a damage avalanche
- You like watching a constant stream of follow-up numbers instead of one big nuke
- You can commit to her Anima Blossom core (Zero / Sagiri / Jiuyuan) over a patch or two
Skip if…
- You have no Esper Cycle trigger on your roster — without it, Fair Duel rarely fires and her damage collapses
- You want a self-sufficient carry that works in any random team — her ceiling is team-built, not solo
- You are strictly F2P on arcs — Ready-Ready needs a dedicated pull and has no farmable 5★ equivalent
- You dislike fixed setup rotations — her payoff requires the buff → Skill → Ultimate order every time
New / casual players: her on-field loop is genuinely one of the easiest carries to pilot, and her A0 kit clears all story and mid-tier content with no investment. A safe, comfortable pull if you like her — you will not feel lost.
F2P / low-spend: the character is worth it, the signature arc is not realistic. Run Fluff of Fortitude or a 4★ budget arc and you still get the large majority of her value. Only her absolute endgame ceiling is paywalled, not her usability.
Invested / endgame: this is where she shines. With A3 + A4, Ready-Ready, Fireflies 4-piece and the Anima Blossom core (Zero / Sagiri / Jiuyuan), her follow-up cascade is one of the strongest sustained single-target profiles in Version 1.0. The hard requirement remains an Esper Cycle trigger — without Zero or an equivalent, do not expect the ceiling. Build the team around her, not her around the team.
Bottom line: she is the community's #1 DPS in Patch 1.0 (ZeroLuck tier-vote: DPS SS, 4.93/5 — the single highest-rated character in the game). A low-stress carry for everyone, a meta-defining boss DPS for players who can commit to her core. Her one requirement — an Esper Cycle trigger — is a team-building nuance, not a downgrade: meet it and she stays the bar every other DPS is measured against.
FAQ
Is Nanally a good first 5★ for a new player?
Yes for the gameplay, with one condition. Her on-field loop is one of the most beginner-friendly in the game — enter Authority, summon Underboss, then just keep attacking. The catch is that her damage is team-built: she needs an Esper Cycle trigger (Zero) to make Fair Duel fire. As a new account she still clears story and mid difficulty comfortably on her raw kit; she only becomes a top-tier carry once the Anima Blossom core is in place.
Do I need Zero specifically, or just any support?
You need an Esper Cycle source, not a generic buffer. Fair Duel only triggers on a teammate’s Esper Cycle DMG. Zero is the cleanest reliable trigger in Version 1.0, which is why he is treated as a core slot rather than a flex pick. A pure ATK buffer with no Esper Cycle does almost nothing for her core passive.
Is Nanally F2P-friendly?
The character is — her A0 kit (Authority + Underboss + Fair Duel) already functions, and her best non-signature arc options are obtainable. What is not F2P-friendly is her signature arc Ready-Ready: it requires a dedicated pull and has no farmable 5★ substitute. F2P players should run Fluff of Fortitude or a budget 4★ and still get most of her value.
Which Awakening matters most?
A3 (Call Me the Boss) is the single biggest spike — it adds a second follow-up cascade on top of Fair Duel. A4 (+100% Underboss) is the immediate follow-up. The priority is A3 → A4 → A6 → A1 → A5 → A2, with A7/A8 only if duplicates pile up. She is fully playable at A0; awakenings raise her ceiling, they are not a gate.
What is the best Cassette Set for Nanally?
Fireflies and the Forest 4-piece. The 2-piece gives Anima DMG +10% (her element), and the 4-piece grants up to 7 stacks of +8% CRIT DMG whenever the team deals Anima DMG to a nearby enemy. Her follow-up cascade plus Jiuyuan keep those stacks topped up through the whole burst window.
What stats should I prioritise?
Main stats: Anima DMG% > CRIT DMG% > ATK% > CRIT Rate%. Sub-stats: CRIT Rate first, then CRIT DMG, ATK%, Universal DMG. Aim for roughly 60–70% CRIT Rate before stacking CRIT DMG hard — every follow-up can crit, so a stable crit rate is worth more than raw CRIT DMG early.
How does “More Than Passionate” actually work?
It is a Blossom Enhancement: it raises the Vita Bud to 10 Vita Pistils and shortens the firing interval to 1s. It hooks Nanally into NTE’s shared Blossom system (the same Vita Bud mechanic other characters modify) rather than being a standalone buff, so it pays off most in an Anima Blossom team where the extra Pistils feed the Esper Cycle her second passive converts into damage.
Is Nanally still worth it for casual / story play?
Yes. Even without the optimal core or her signature arc, her base kit clears all story and most mid-tier content on autopilot. The team requirements and arc investment only matter when you push the hardest endgame — for everything below that, she is a comfortable, low-stress carry.
