TL;DR — 5 Steps

  1. Enter the Pink Paws Bank lobbyTalk to Chiz at the Pink Paws Bank in Hethereau and accept the heist. Giovanni Dvořák opens the run and the timer starts.
  2. Loot top-down by valueGrab Orange (Epic) items first — Giovanni's Gilded Statue alone is worth 50,000 Fons. Purple and Blue fill the bag; skip Green clutter unless you have time.
  3. Watch your alert levelEvery grab and every second inside raises alert. The Haunted Surveillance Camera escalates 1 → 5 stars. Hitting Five-Star Tracking turns it into a hidden boss that hunts you.
  4. Solve gates, avoid trapsHigh-value safes need specific tools to open; the vault has a red-phone counting quiz; trapped safes punish a greedy grab. Don't trip the room while overloaded.
  5. Extract before points closeEvacuation points shut progressively (LG1 first, then LG2, LG3). Reach an open extraction door before time runs out — only what you carry out converts to Fons.

The Run — Start to Extraction

  1. Fast-travel into Hethereau and go to the Pink Paws Bank. The heist entrance is the bank lobby — its event icon appears on the City Gameplay list while the cycle is active.
  2. Speak to Chiz (Pink Paws Bank Lobby Manager). She runs through the rules; Giovanni Dvořák, the organizer, formally opens the round.
  3. Rules confirmed in-game: pick anything you like, carry it to an exit within the time limit, and everything is converted into Fons and given to you for free.
  4. Take the elevator down. The vault complex is split into LG1 Office Floor, LG2 Collection Floor, and LG3 Vault Floor, then the boss floor below.
  5. Loot interactables (desks, cabinets, safes, coin piles). Higher floors hold higher-tier loot but raise alert faster.
  6. Some high-value containers need a specific tool to unlock — Chiz warns you of this directly. "Unexpected incidents" (traps, the red-phone quiz) can happen on site.
  7. Your alert rises the whole time. Once it reaches the top tier the run flips into Five-Star Tracking — the hidden boss phase.
  8. Carry your haul to an open Evacuation Point. Points close in order over the run, so plan the exit before the bag is full.

Hidden Boss: Haunted Surveillance Camera — Five-Star Tracking

The Pink Paws Bank is watched over by Lord Ladon, and its security is enforced by an Anomaly: the Haunted Surveillance Camera, described in-game as the "monitored, electrified spirit." It is the hidden boss of the heist — you do not pick a fight with it, your own greed summons it. Looting and time spent inside raise your alert level from one star up to five. At Five-Star Tracking the camera stops being passive surveillance and actively hunts you across the floors, electrifying anyone it locks onto. Skia's Shadow Hound Chase background hints at the same lore: "Some nimble troublemakers might think they can escape ETD's pursuit… they should check what's lurking beneath their feet." The encounter rewards greed but punishes overstaying — the deeper you push for Orange loot, the harder the spirit comes for you.

Alert escalation (1★ → 5★)

Manage

Tell: The alert meter ticks up with every grab and continuously while you are inside the vault.

This is the core mechanic. Low stars = harmless surveillance. The closer to five stars, the more aggressively the camera tracks your position. Bank value early; don't idle on a floor.

Five-Star Tracking hunt

Evade

Tell: The meter hits maximum and the camera anomaly switches to the Five-Star Tracking state — it electrifies and chases you directly.

Confirmed buff Five-Star Tracking. At this point you are the prey. Break line of sight, keep moving toward an exit, and do not stop to open one more safe — the run is over if it catches you with a full bag.

Greed gates & trapped safes

Dodge

Tell: A high-value safe needs a specific tool, or a safe is rigged as a trap that fires when forced.

Trapped containers spike your alert instantly. Carry the right tool for premium safes and leave rigged ones alone if you're already near five stars.

Red-phone vault puzzle

Solve

Tell: An NPC challenge in the deeper vault asks: "How many red phones are there?" with answers from "none" up to "4".

A counting puzzle, not combat. A correct answer ("Congratulations, you got it!") opens premium loot; a wrong one ("Wrong… all wrong…") wastes time and keeps the alert climbing.

Loot Tiers — What to Grab First

Orange — EpicGiovanni's Gilded Statue (50,000 Fons), Eternal Heart, Crimson Gem, Lustrous Jade, Smoky Amethyst, Bundle of Gold Bars. Grab these first — single best value-per-slot.
Purple — RareGold Bar, Blue and White Porcelain Vase, Phonograph, Starseeker Telescope, Red Glaze Vase, Artwork pieces. Solid filler between Orange grabs.
Blue — UncommonArtwork series (Drinking in Solitary, Chasing Fragrance, Flower Field), Cash, Special Coin Pouch, Cubox Technologies Phone, Digital Camera. Take if it's on the way.
Green — CommonSpecial Coin, Manga / Manga Magazine, Crumpled Letter, Old Diary, Bank Document I. Clutter — only worth grabbing with spare time and low alert.

Best Characters

Hathor — the heist specialist

Pickup Service City Ability · directly counters the surveillance spirit

  • HathorHathorCity Ability "Pickup Service": chance to recycle dropped items, and increases the time before you're discovered by the monitored electrified spirit

Hathor is built for this mode. Her City Ability "Pickup Service" delays detection by the camera at Lv2/Lv4 and recovers dropped loot. Her star talent Thorn Dominion even grants Express Delivery Power when Five-Star Tracking naturally expires — the kit is themed around the heist. Bring her if you have her.

Chiz — the insider

Pink Paws Bank staff · thematic + mobility

  • ChizChizPink Paws Bank employee; her kit ("Pink Paws Priority Principle" / Grain mechanic) and lore tie directly to the bank

Chiz literally works at the Pink Paws Bank (Lobby Manager line). No confirmed heist-specific City Ability like Hathor's, but she's the on-theme pick and good general mobility for grabbing loot fast. See the build in the Chiz team guide.

Anyone mobile

No element gate · speed and evasion win, not DPS

  • SkiaSkiaShadow Hound Chase — ETD pursuit theme; strong traversal to outrun Five-Star Tracking

This is not a damage check — it's a timed loot-and-extract run with a pursuer. Any high-mobility unit that lets you cover floors quickly and escape the camera works. Prioritize movement and stamina over a meta DPS core.

Rewards & Achievements

ConversionEvery item you successfully extract is converted to Fons at its listed value (e.g. Giovanni's Gilded Statue = 50,000 Fons).
Score reward trackA per-round score ladder (40 tiers) pays an additional points-reward bundle on top of the Fons conversion.
Achievement — First Pot of GoldCollect 10,000 Fons in a single round of Pink Paws Heist.
Achievement — Fons's WarudoCollect 50,000 Fons in a single round.
Achievement — Ladon ApprovedCollect 100,000 Fons in a single round — the top heist achievement.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls

  • Loot value-first, not nearest-first. One Orange grab (Giovanni's Gilded Statue = 50,000 Fons) outweighs a whole bag of Green clutter and barely moves your alert compared to dawdling.
  • Five-Star Tracking is a soft fail timer. The moment the camera hits the top tier you are being hunted — head for an exit, do not open "just one more" safe.
  • Run Hathor if you own her. "Pickup Service" is the only confirmed City Ability that directly delays being discovered by the electrified spirit and recovers dropped items — it's a measurable edge in this exact mode.
  • Evacuation points close in order (LG1 → LG2 → LG3). Always know where your next open exit is before the bag is full; getting trapped deep with no open door wastes the whole run.
  • The red-phone question is a counting puzzle, not a riddle — count the red phones in the room, answer once, move on. A wrong answer just burns time while alert keeps rising.
  • Don't force trapped safes near max alert. A rigged safe spikes alert instantly and can be the thing that flips you into Five-Star Tracking with a full, un-extracted bag.
  • It's a Fons engine, not a fight. See the broader money routine in the Fons guide — Pink Paws Heist is one of its highest single-session payouts when the cycle is live.
