The 4 phases — from zero to a self-sustaining economy
Earning Fons isn't a grind problem, it's a structure problem. These four phases are the shortest path. Read them in order — each phase unlocks the next.
- 1
The perfect start (0 → 500k)
Don't farm yet. Run the chest route below to bank starting capital. Your first hour decides the next two weeks.
- 2
Build a stable economy
Unlock the Café and turn it into a passive engine. Push employees to level 3 — that's the sweet spot. Defer luxury upgrades.
- 3
Weekly income — the real engine
The weekly cycle (Pink Paws Heist + 100% Stamina + Mammon) is where wealth compounds. The checklist above tracks it for you.
- 4
Smart completion
Fill the gaps with City Deliveries, moderate Anomaly Commissions, and natural Exploration / Footprint / Oracle progress.
Secret Vaults route — ~475k Fons in 10–15 min
There are 9 known Secret Vaults scattered across Hethereau, worth roughly 475,000 Fons total (one-time). The 6 main stops below are the bulk of the payout. Skip enemies whenever you can, rush the safe, press F to force-open. Locate every stop on the interactive map. Credit to BillyBilly for compiling the original list.

Suburbs
Go around the back of the house, behind the isolated building.
Estimated gain50,000–100,000 Fons

Estimated gain50,000–100,000 Fons
- 6

Pink Paws Heist — full guide
Up to 1,000,000 Fons per week, ~7–8 minutes per run. This is the highest-paying activity in the game and the only one that refreshes weekly with that kind of payout. The route below comes from actual gameplay, not theory — including the one mechanic most players miss: the extraction "!" markers.
Before you queue
- UnlockCity Tycoon level 10. Until you reach it, the Heist is locked.
- EntryTeleport to the Pink Paws Bank tower → talk to Chiz → click "admin" → "enter".
- CurrenciesTwo payouts per run: Fons + Pink Paws Credits (purple). Credits buy skins and cars at the exchange.
- Group playEach extra player extracts more loot. Solo is fine, 4-stack is best — use the official Discord to find a team.
- IndexItems pulled from vaults register in the Pink Paws Index — a Pokédex-style collection with its own reward track.
See Chiz (Pink Paws Bank lobby manager — and the NPC you talk to) and community team builds for Heist-tuned comps.
In-run route — 7 phases
- 1
Lobby sprint
Start
Grab pickups on tables on your way through, but don't go out of your way. Open the first door fast — the run timer is everything.
FocusMove fast, loot what's on the path
- 2
First wave + gold bars
≈ 1 min
Past the next door, 3–4 enemies spawn. Kill them — they drop gold bars (~2,000 Fons each). Collect every bar. Keep grabbing table loot in passing.
FocusGold bars > everything else
- 3
Watch the ! markers
Always
Look for the temporary "!" markers — those are the extraction points and their location is RNG. No "!" found = no extract = you lose ALL the money. This is the most missed mechanic.
FocusMark the extract before it expires
- 4
Golden door → vaults
Mid-run
Cross the golden door, choose right or left side. Vaults spawn at random — check both sides; if a side is empty, leave it. Press B at any time to see what access cards you've picked up.
FocusDon't waste time in empty rooms
- 5
Elite guards (4×)
Heavy floor
On the heavy floor, 4 elite guards spawn. Kill them — they drop a pile of gold bars AND the Nucleus, the key item that unlocks the final boss vault. This is guaranteed every run.
FocusAlways farm the 4 elites
- 6
Final boss vault
RNG bonus
If you've found the right access card (single-use, numbered), insert it at the red pillar and submit the Nucleus to unlock the boss vault — up to ~500,000 Fons. Pure RNG: you may not see it every run.
FocusRare jackpot, never the goal
- 7
Extract before timer
Last 2 min
Start extracting with ~2 minutes left if you're cautious, ~30s if you know exactly where the extract is. NEVER push past zero — you lose everything. Average run: ~150,000 Fons in 9 min + 600 Popper + 950 Pink Paws Credits.
FocusA banked 100k beats a lost 300k
Don't grab these — anti-loot list
- Getting hit — every HP loss costs Fons. Stay away from cheap shots.
- Going out of your way for table cash — only grab pickups on the natural path.
- Opening a forced safe before clearing the 2 guards that spawn beside it.
- Standing under elite guards — group them with Jogan / Sakura's Sakuri pull, then burst.
- Hoarding access cards — they're single-use, find one and use it that run.
- Pushing past the timer — extracting late = full run lost.
The Heist rewards greed-control, not greed. Each run earns Pink Paws Credit — the per-week thresholds are where the big-tier rewards land. Hit the cap, then stop.

Side & Spinoff Quests
★★★★★10–80k per quest30–60 minOne-timeInconsistent — some pay well, some don't. Worth doing for Hunter Rank progression more than for the Fons themselves.

Café & Stamina — extra tactics
Two systems with enough mechanical depth to deserve their own card. The rankings above tell you what to do; these tell you exactly how.
Café — full setup
- Unlock at City Tycoon level 4. First café costs 20,000 Fons — buy it the moment you unlock.
- 2 employees per café. Hire whoever the game recommends early on — Mint, Adler, Nanaly, etc. Skills matter more than the character.
- Skills only to level 3. Levels 4 and 5 are massively overpriced. Level 3 unlocks each character's special skill — that's where the real bonus kicks in.
- Skill currency drops from collecting furniture in your property + completing the renovation guide.
- Restock duration: 4 h if still actively playing, 24 h if logging off, 72 h if taking a break of 3 days. Always swap to the newest item — newer items pay more.
- Café-specific furniture (thumbs-up icons = popularity) is a mid-game spend. Wait until Hunter Rank 24+ before investing.
City Stamina — fastest conversion
All 9 Stamina activities pay the same flat rate: 1 Stamina point = 1,000 Fons. The total is fixed; only the speed varies. Stamina caps weekly — unspent = lost.
- Fastest method (~15 s/run): Café mini-game in Master + Owner mode. Pick the first task in your café, smack customers with the hammer until you hit the 200 income limit, then escape — no need to wait for the timer.
- Best mini-game employees: Nanaly (combo tips, up to 5×) · Mint (+15% global price) · By Tong (no streak loss when customers run out of patience — broken, hope it stays in).
- Alt method (Super Sound): replay the LAST track and S-rank it for 20k in 2 min — solid, consistent.
- Affinity-friendly method: use Fast Travel (Uber-like). RNG sometimes pulls your owned characters → +Affinity level → skins, frames and small Fons annuities.
- Double-Stamina mode unlocks at higher City Tycoon levels — twice the Fons per run, half the total time.
Mistakes to avoid
- Farming too early → run the chests first.
- Ignoring the Café → no passive income, slow progression.
- Not spending Stamina → direct Fons loss every week.
- Sitting on a heist run too long → risk of losing it.
- Neglecting employees → less revenue and lower efficiency.
- Forgetting weekly content → millions of Fons lost per week.
Avoid these and you'll progress twice as fast.
The 4 pillars — TL;DR
- I
Build a starting capital
One-shot rewards (chests, exploration, quests) — done once, never again.
- II
Secure passive income
Café + properties = Fons earned even while you're offline.
- III
Optimise the weekly cycle
Heist + Stamina + Mammon — the engine of long-term wealth.
- IV
Organise your play time
A short, consistent routine outperforms long, random farming sessions.
