- Talk to Director DateHe stands in front of a closed door to the right of the staircase inside the hall. After dialogue, the door beside him opens.
- Descend the corridor and spiral staircaseThe corridor leads underground to a chamber with a tall central statue ringed by a spiral staircase. Walk down to the statue's base.
- Take the golden elevator to B1Turn around at the base of the statue — the elevator is right behind you. Call it, enter, hit the B1 panel button.

- Look to the right of the staircase — Director Date stands in front of a closed door. Initiate dialogue.
- When the conversation ends, the door to his right unlocks. Walk through it.
- The corridor descends into a large underground chamber with a tall statue at its centre and a spiral staircase wrapping around it.
- Walk down the spiral staircase until you reach the base of the statue.

Boss: Mammon
A money-themed anomaly entity built around fast, agile attack strings and a strict damage check. The fight has a visible timer at the top of the screen — let it expire and you walk out empty-handed regardless of how much HP you shaved off. Plan a burst comp, learn the parry windows on his finishers, and don't waste seconds on greed.
Quick attack strings
DodgeTell: Red glints flash on his hands or weapon a fraction of a second before each hit in the string.
The strings can run 4-6 hits long. Don't try to dodge each individual hit — count them, dodge through the cluster, and look for the parry opportunity at the end.
Parryable finishers
ParryTell: A red warning circle telegraphs the finisher swing rather than a glint.
Parrying knocks Mammon off-balance and opens a clean burst window. Single biggest source of free damage in the fight.
Array slam (delayed AoE)
Dodge twiceTell: Multiple swipes, then a fist slam. Floor glow appears at the slam's impact.
Critical pattern. The string does NOT end on the slam — the delayed AoE comes a beat later from the glow. Most deaths in this fight come from assuming the string is over and standing too close.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls
- Treat Yarn Ball or Fons as a weekly Fons faucet, not a regular farm. The Monday reset makes it a guaranteed weekly task on your Realm of Mammon / Fons routine.
- Don't enter under-levelled. The timer is unforgiving — even a perfectly executed fight on an under-geared team will fall short of the kill threshold.
- Refuse to dodge the Array Slam early. The delayed AoE is the #1 killer here. Wait for the floor glow to flash, THEN dodge — your iframes need to land during the second pulse, not the first.
- Parries on the red-circle finishers stagger Mammon. Skip your basic-attack chain immediately after a parry and go straight into Ultimate / burst — staggers are the only generous window in the fight.
- If you fail the timer once, learn the pattern on that attempt and don't burn the weekly retry. The encounter does not lock you out after a fail, but every retry that ends short of the timer is wasted minutes.
- Pairs naturally with the Fons farming guide — see the Fons guide for the full economy routine of which Yarn Ball or Fons is one piece.
