TL;DR — 5 Steps
- Walk onto the stageEnd of Fiscus Avenue in Illusion Town where the road splits. The stage equipment is the trigger — touch it to start the fight.
- Watch the score bar under the HPWhen the score bar starts scrolling, the boss is queuing prompts. Your inputs only register cleanly on-beat.
- Memorise the color mappingBlue = dodge. Yellow = jump. Red = basic attack. Mistakes cost damage and break the multiplier.
- Open with Haniel if you have herShe's the signature Arc user, but she also fits the Psyche damage profile that the Arc itself empowers — clean farm loop.
- Defeat the Beat KingThe Arc drops on first clear, guaranteed. Re-runs are for refinement (Lv 1 → Lv 5) and the Anomaly Material Selection Boxes.
Rhythm Prompt Color Mapping
The score bar under the Beat King HP scrolls colored prompts. Each color maps to one input — there are only three. Anything outside this table either does nothing or grades as a miss.
Quick lateral roll. Hits during a Blue prompt drain both HP and rhythm multiplier.
Plain jump button. Used to clear floor-level shockwaves between attack prompts.
Single basic-attack tap. Holding or comboing extra hits ends the chain early — keep it minimal.
Fight Tips
- Lower the music volume in audio settings if you struggle with the timing — the beat is also reflected visually on the score bar, but the audio is more precise.
- Misreading colours mid-fight is the #1 wipe cause. Take a slow first run on normal stake to memorise the boss's color cadence before pushing refinement runs.
- Esper skills with i-frames (Aurelia dive, Edgar block) carry through colour mistakes. Use them as safety nets while you're learning, then drop them on refinement runs.
- Off-field damage does not need to match the prompts — only the on-field character's input is graded. Swap to a sub-DPS, attack freely off-beat, then swap back for the next prompt.
- The score multiplier doesn't reset on a single miss; you only lose a tier. Recover by hitting two clean prompts in a row.
The Reward — Blow up the Crowd
| Base ATK lv 1 → lv 20 → lv 80 | 33 → 137 → 512 |
| Substat ATK% lv 1 → lv 20 → lv 80 | 11% → 13.8% → 27.5% |
| Passive — Beat King | Off-field: active character ATK +10% (Lv 1) → +14% (Lv 5). Each time the wearer deals damage, active character ATK +2% (Lv 1) → +3.2% (Lv 5), up to 4 stacks, max once every 2 s. On-field: Psyche DMG +12% (Lv 1) → +20% (Lv 5) with additional stacking bonuses on Psyche-typed Basic Attacks. |
| Refinement | 5 refinement levels. Each level scales both the off-field ATK buff, the on-field Psyche DMG bonus and the per-hit stack value. Worth pushing to at least Lv 3 if you main Haniel. |
Best User
Signature Arc. Her Hootie summon chip-damages constantly off-field, which trickles +2% ATK stacks to whoever is on-field — making her the cleanest fit for the kit by a wide margin.
The strongest free S-Rank Arc for off-field battery roles. If you don't have Haniel today, the Arc still pays out on any Psyche sub-DPS that swaps in and out — but Haniel is the long-term home.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls
- The stage trigger is touchy — if your jump or sprint key glitches you onto the equipment, the fight can start before your team is finalised. Set the party loadout before approaching.
- Headphones make the rhythm minigame dramatically easier. Background music in the open world masks the beat from speakers.
- Refinement copies from re-runs require defeating Beat King again — there is no “catalyst” shortcut. Treat it like a weekly anomaly chore until you hit Lv 3 or Lv 5.
- Haniel's burst windows are pre-built around exactly this Arc. Once Blow up the Crowd is at Lv 3+ on her, her tier-list rating climbs noticeably across community polls.
- If you only need the Arc for a different Psyche sub-DPS, Lv 1 already delivers most of the off-field uptime. Don't burn weeks on refinement unless Haniel is your main.
