Nanally Team Guide

The Colucci gang boss turns every enemy hit into a follow-up cascade. Nanally enters Ichi-daime's Authority, summons Underboss, and lets Zero's Esper Cycle triggers chain into a continuous stream of Anima follow-up attacks — with Sakiri's ATK buff and Jiuyuan's Anima resonance amplifying every hit.

Ratings

  • Bossing
  • AoE / Groups
  • Follow-up DMG
  • Ease of Use
  • Investment
  • F2P Friendly

Strengths

  • Extremely high follow-up DPS ceiling when Zero is triggering Esper Cycle continuously
  • Low APM once the burst window is active — Skill + Ultimate, then spam Normal Attack
  • Jiuyuan’s Anima resonance doubles Vita Bud Blossom generation from Nanally’s Passionate passive
  • Sakiri A4 passive grants +30% Base ATK to all allies, benefiting the entire team
  • Strong grouping from Jiuyuan’s Intel Hunter keeps enemies clustered during the burst window
  • A3 + Fair Duel create a dual follow-up layer with different cooldowns for near-continuous procs

Weaknesses

  • Requires Zero for Fair Duel to proc consistently — no comparable free-to-play trigger alternative
  • Ready-Ready arc is signature pull (no farmable equivalent at 5-star tier)
  • A5 ATK stack resets on swap — penalises rotations that pull Nanally off field early
  • Ichi-daime’s Authority ends immediately on swap — cannot split burst across characters

Gameplay — The Follow-up Engine

Nanally's damage model is built entirely on Ichi-daime's Authority — a state entered via Skill that converts every hit (from Nanally or teammates) into a follow-up trigger. Two passive layers run simultaneously:

The two follow-up layers

1

Fair Duel (Passive 2) — Esper Cycle follow-up

Fires a 60% ATK Anima follow-up whenever any teammate deals Esper Cycle DMG, up to once every 2s. This is why Zero is irreplaceable: his Skill instantly fills the Esper Cycle gauge, generating a continuous stream of Esper Cycle hits that each pull the 2s trigger.

2

A3 (Call Me the Boss) — on-hit follow-up

Fires a 50% ATK Anima follow-up whenever Nanally herself deals damage while in Authority, up to once per second. During Normal Attack spam, this fires on almost every hit — separate cooldown from Fair Duel so both trigger independently.

3

Underboss (Ultimate) — coordinated attacks

Summons Underboss who mirrors every hit Nanally lands, dealing Anima follow-up DMG. With A4, Underboss damage is doubled — effectively tripling the raw output of each Normal Attack press during the burst window.

Key rules

  • Cast Skill before Ultimate — Ichi-daime's Authority must be active for Underboss follow-ups to count as follow-up damage for A1 energy regen and A5 ATK stacking.
  • Do NOT swap Nanally during Authority — Authority ends immediately on swap, and A5 ATK stacks reset. Stay on field for the full burst window.
  • Zero's Skill first — Filling the Esper Cycle gauge before Nanally's window ensures Fair Duel fires as soon as Authority is active. Sakiri’s buff should be applied before Zero enters.

Nanally — Skill Priority

UltimateColucci Ultimate Technique★★★

Deals 7 instances of Anima DMG to surrounding enemies and summons Underboss to fight alongside Nanally. While Underboss is active, all of Nanally’s attacks create a small pull on surrounding enemies and Underboss coordinates with every hit — dealing Anima DMG that counts as follow-up damage. Cast this first when entering Ichi-daime’s Authority to layer both effects.

SkillColucci Howling Technique★★★

Deals 5 instances of Anima DMG and enters Ichi-daime’s Authority for 12s (15s with A6 — 20s out of combat). While active, the passive Fair Duel fires a free follow-up attack whenever any teammate deals Esper Cycle DMG, and A3 adds an additional follow-up on Nanally’s own hits. Cast Skill before Ultimate so both effects overlap immediately.

Normal AttackColucci Secret Skill★★

Deals Anima DMG. Primary filler between Ultimates — each hit triggers Underboss follow-ups while Authority is active. Keep attacking to maximise follow-up density during the burst window.

Chain SkillJustice from Above

Deals Anima DMG on swap-in. Triggers Underboss and Fair Duel follow-ups if Authority is still active. Lowest upgrade priority.

PassiveMore Than Passionate

Blossom Enhancement: fires 10 Vita Pistils with Vita Bud and reduces the interval between shots to 1s. Amplifies Vita Bud Blossom output — synergises with Jiuyuan’s Anima resonance that doubles Vita Bud Blossom generation.

PassiveFair Duel

Applies 1 follow-up attack (60% ATK Anima DMG) whenever any team member deals Esper Cycle DMG while Nanally is in Ichi-daime’s Authority. Triggers at most once every 2s. This is the core passive that links Zero’s Esper Cycle hits directly to Nanally’s follow-up chain.

Upgrade order:Ultimate → Skill → Normal Attack → Chain / Passives. Ultimate enables Underboss (the primary damage multiplier) — level it first. Skill unlocks Ichi-daime's Authority which gates both Fair Duel and A3 — level second. Normal Attack is your primary on-field filler during the burst window.

Awakenings

Priority key:SMust unlockAHigh priorityBSituationalCSkip
SA3Call Me the Boss

Applies 1 additional follow-up attack (50% ATK Anima DMG) whenever Nanally deals damage to an enemy while in Ichi-daime’s Authority. Triggers at most once per second. This stacks on top of Fair Duel — together they form a continuous follow-up cascade during the burst window.

SA4Not a Troublemaker

Increases Underboss’s damage by 100%. Underboss coordinates with every hit Nanally lands — doubling its damage output is a massive multiplier that compounds across the entire burst window.

AA6Because We’re Family

Extends Ichi-daime’s Authority to 15s (20s out of combat). More time in Authority means more Fair Duel + A3 follow-ups per rotation, and a longer window for Underboss to coordinate attacks.

AA1Gang Formation

+2.5 Ultimate Energy per follow-up attack, triggering at most once per second. With Underboss active and Fair Duel firing every 2s, this passively recharges Ultimate quickly — tightening rotation and reducing downtime between burst windows.

BA5Followers Everywhere

+2% ATK per follow-up attack performed, stacking up to +20%. Accumulates during the burst window. Resets when Nanally leaves the field or exits combat — front-load her damage and swap only after Authority ends to keep the full stack.

BA2Second Member

Underboss lasts 3s longer. Extends the window in which Underboss coordinates attacks — worth unlocking once A3, A4, A6, and A1 are secured.

CA7Colucci Secrets Part 1

+1 skill level to Normal Attack, Skill, and Ultimate. Situational stat-stick — unlock last after the core awakenings.

CA8Colucci Secrets Part 2

+15% damage dealt globally. Flat amplifier — strong in theory but unlocked only after A3/A4/A6/A1/A5/A2 are secured.

Priority order: A3 → A4 → A6 → A1 → A5 → A2. A3 and A4 are mandatory — they add a second follow-up layer and double Underboss damage respectively. A6 extends Authority duration significantly (+3s on field, +8s out of combat), translating to more follow-up procs per rotation. A1 passively recharges Ultimate via follow-ups, tightening the loop.

Arc

Nanally’s signature arc. Directly boosts follow-up DMG and Anima DMG — both core to her kit. The passive aligns with the burst window: follow-ups triggered by Fair Duel and A3 both benefit from the arc’s bonus. Pull for it alongside Nanally if possible.

Solid 5-star alternative. Provides consistent offensive stats that slot into Nanally’s rotation without specific conditions. Good placeholder while farming or saving for Ready-Ready.

Another viable 5-star option. Competitive alternative if you already own it. Check stat overlap with your current cassette set — swap to Ready-Ready when available.

4-star farmable budget option. Provides a functional offensive bonus. Use until you obtain a 5-star arc — the gap to Ready-Ready is significant for endgame content.

Cassette Set & Stats

  • 2-piece: Anima DMG +10%
  • 4-piece: Follow-up attack DMG bonus buff on Esper Cycle hits

Directly amplifies both Nanally's element (Anima) and her primary damage type (follow-up attacks). The 4-piece activates through Esper Cycle hits — which Zero generates continuously — meaning the buff stays permanently active during the burst window. Pairs perfectly with Fair Duel, A3, and Underboss follow-ups for maximum multiplier stacking.

Team — Who Does What

Nanally

Nanally · AnimaMain DPS

The carry. Nanally activates Ichi-daime's Authority via Skill, summons Underboss via Ultimate, then stays on field spamming Normal Attacks. Every hit coordinates with Underboss (A4: ×2 DMG), A3 fires an additional follow-up every second, and Fair Duel fires off Zero's Esper Cycle hits every 2 seconds. The rotation is simple — the skill expression is in the setup.

Zero

Zero · CosmosEsper Cycle Trigger

The trigger engine. Zero's Skill instantly fills the Esper Cycle gauge — each gauge fill generates an Esper Cycle hit, which trips Nanally's Fair Duelpassive (once every 2s) once Authority is active. His Ultimate provides additional Cosmos DMG off-field. Without Zero, Fair Duel relies on natural Esper Cycle procs — far less consistent. Zero is effectively Nanally's damage amplifier through his trigger role.

Sakiri

Sakiri · IncantationATK Buffer

The ATK anchor. Sakiri's A4 Awakening grants +30% of Sakiri's Base ATK to all allies as a flat bonus — the highest unconditional team ATK buff available in the current meta. Her Ultimate also applies a temporary ATK buff and DEF debuff to enemies. Cast Sakiri first every rotation so the A4 passive is active before Zero and Nanally enter.

Jiuyuan

Jiuyuan · AnimaAnima Sub DPS / CC

The Anima resonance provider. Jiuyuan's Anima resonancedoubles Vita Bud Blossom generation — pairing directly with Nanally's More Than Passionate passive (10 Vita Pistils at 1s interval). His Intel Hunter (Skill) gathers enemies and establishes Lethal Rose Pact for burst detonation. Final Reckoning (Ultimate) triggers Pact Settlement on all bound targets simultaneously. Operates almost entirely off-field once Pact is active.

Why this composition works

Each member contributes a distinct, non-overlapping role. Sakiri's flat ATK buff scales every follow-up (ATK-scaling). Zero's Esper Cycle hits are the fuel for Fair Duel at 2s intervals. Jiuyuan adds a second Anima unit that triggers the Anima resonance bonus — doubling Vita Bud Blossom output — and provides CC to keep enemies in Underboss pull range. Nanally stays on field for the entire burst window and lets the three passive follow-up layers (Fair Duel, A3, Underboss) fire simultaneously without any active management.

Alternatives

Hotori
Hotori

Replace Jiuyuan in Blossom-heavy compositions. Hotori provides Time Stop burst and Cosmos reactions, keeping the elemental triangle active without the Anima resonance from Jiuyuan.

Haniel
Haniel

Replace Sakiri if you want a second off-field buffer. Haniel’s Hootie deploys ATK drain + buff off-field. Loses Sakiri’s flat ATK bonus but adds a second Nova reaction contributor.

Rotation

1

Sakiri — team ATK buff

Cast Ultimate to apply ATK buff + DEF debuff to the team. Then use Skill. Swap immediately. Sakiri’s A4 passive grants +30% Base ATK to allies — this buff applies once her Ultimate is cast and persists off-field.

2

Zero — fill Esper Cycle

Cast Skill to instantly fill the Esper Cycle gauge, then cast Ultimate. Zero’s kit generates Esper Cycle hits that trigger Nanally’s Fair Duel passive — each hit fires a free Nanally follow-up once Authority is active. Swap after.

3

Jiuyuan — Anima resonance + CC

Cast Skill (Intel Hunter) to gather enemies, deal Anima DMG, grant 4 Rose Pact Bullets, and bind targets with Lethal Rose Pact. Then Support Skill, then Ultimate to trigger Pact Settlement. Swap after — the Pact persists.

4

Nanally — main burst window

Cast Skill (Colucci Howling Technique) to enter Ichi-daime’s Authority, then cast Ultimate to summon Underboss. Spam Normal Attacks — each hit triggers Underboss follow-ups (A4: +100% DMG), Fair Duel follow-ups (every 2s), and A3 follow-ups (every 1s). Stay on field until Authority ends for maximum follow-up count.

Timing note:The ideal entry sequence into Nanally's burst is Skill → Ultimate (not Ultimate → Skill). Ichi-daime's Authority must be active before summoning Underboss so that Underboss follow-ups are counted as follow-up attacks for A1 energy regen and A5 ATK stacking.

Verdict

Pull for her if…

  • You want a follow-up carry with clear, low-APM gameplay — buff team, cast Skill + Ultimate, spam Normal Attack
  • You play or plan to play Zero — his Esper Cycle hits are the trigger engine for Nanally’s Fair Duel passive
  • You enjoy seeing a constant stream of follow-up damage numbers during the burst window
  • Boss content and grouped fights are your main activity — Jiuyuan’s CC amplifies AoE burst
  • You want an Anima team with Blossom synergy via Jiuyuan’s resonance
  • You value a team where all three supports work mostly off-field once their skills are deployed

Skip if…

  • You don’t own or plan to pull Zero — without an Esper Cycle trigger, Fair Duel rarely fires
  • You prefer a simpler burst carry without a 4-step rotation setup
  • Your roster lacks both Sakiri and Jiuyuan — the synergy drops significantly without an ATK buffer
  • You need an F2P-friendly arc — Ready-Ready requires a dedicated pull and has no farmable alternative at 5-star tier

Nanally is one of the strongest follow-up carries in NTE when her trigger chain is correctly assembled. The three simultaneous follow-up layers (Fair Duel every 2s, A3 every 1s, Underboss on every hit) produce a damage ceiling that few compositions can match in sustained on-field time. The setup cost is concentrated in two requirements: owning Zero for consistent Esper Cycle triggers, and pulling her signature arc Ready-Ready. If both conditions are met, this is a top-tier team for boss fights and grouped content alike. The only gameplay demand is staying on Nanally for the full burst window — every early swap costs multiple follow-up procs and resets the A5 ATK stack.
