TL;DR — 5 Steps

  1. Travel to Floe CinemaCamelot Avenue, New Herland District. The building is unmistakable — a multi-storey cinema sign on the façade.
  2. Take the central staircase to 2FEnter the lobby, walk to the central staircase and ride it up. No tickets, no NPCs to interact with first.
  3. Find the spiral projector roomTurn left at the top of the stairs, walk past the cartoon standee, enter the corner room. A black-and-white spiral projects onto the wall.
  4. Interact with the projectorTouching the projector plays a cutscene and warps you into the Anomalous Realm where Swallowtail spawns.
  5. Burst Anima + parry the diveBring Nanally / Mint / Jiuyuan for Anima weakness. Parrying Swallowtail's mirror-dimension dive attacks slashes the Break gauge fast.

How to Reach the Projector

  1. Open the world map and fast-travel to New Herland District.
  2. Travel to Camelot Avenue and locate Floe Cinema — the signage is visible from the street.
  3. Enter through the main lobby doors and walk to the central staircase.
  4. Ride the central staircase up to the 2nd floor of the cinema.
  5. At the top of the stairs, turn left.
  6. Walk past the cartoon standee positioned along the corridor.
  7. Enter the corner room at the end. A projector is set up casting a black-and-white spiral onto the wall.
  8. Interact with the projector. A cutscene plays, the world transitions to the Anomalous Realm, and Swallowtail's encounter begins.

Boss: Swallowtail

An airborne boss that alternates between long-range projectile barrages and fast close-range strikes. Its defining mechanic is the mirror-dimension dive — Swallowtail vanishes beneath the arena floor, then launches a rapid succession of attacks on reappearance. Successfully parrying these dive strikes substantially reduces its Break gauge, which is the cleanest way to control the fight tempo.

Tell: Swallowtail hovers high above the arena and lines up projectiles in a fan pattern before firing.

Stay mobile. Standing still during the wind-up invites the boss to add an extra projectile row to the volley.

Close-range strikes

Parry

Tell: The boss dive-bombs toward the player and follows up with a quick melee swipe.

Tight parry window. Landing it interrupts the chain and creates a safe punish frame.

Mirror-dimension dive

Parry the re-entry

Tell: Swallowtail dives beneath the arena floor, vanishing into a mirror dimension.

The boss reappears with a rapid attack sequence. Successfully parrying these strikes drops the Break gauge dramatically — make this your priority parry of the fight.

Signature Arc. Jiuyuan's kit is built around Anima damage and Attachment marks, both of which are buffed directly by the passive. The post-Ultimate Attachment window also lines up cleanly with her standard rotation.

Top-tier free S-Rank Arc, mechanically identical-tier to Youthful Fantasy in raw stats (570 max ATK, 30% substat). Best paired with Jiuyuan but works on any Anima DPS that triggers Attachment marks. Repeatable through Swallowtail's world-boss status — you can refine it without weekly lockout.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls

  • The 2F corner room and the projector are easy to miss if you head right at the top of the stairs by mistake. Turn left specifically — the cartoon standee is the visual checkpoint.
  • Swallowtail's mirror dive is the entire fight. Burn parry skill points on this attack first; the projectile barrage can be dodged with positioning alone.
  • Reality Refuge's Solid typing means it's slot-compatible with the same Cartridge / Module rolls as Blow up the Crowd. If you're already farming Solid set bonuses, this Arc plugs straight in.
  • After the first clear, Swallowtail respawns as a regular world boss in the same arena (no need to re-trigger the projector). This is the farming target for refining Reality Refuge.
  • If you're not running Jiuyuan, prioritise refinement on Nanally — the Anima DMG bonus on the passive still scales her hard, and the Attachment bonus carries over into her follow-up engine.
