Chiz Team Guide
The Pink Paws Bank Lobby Manager plays the market — literally. Chiz hoards Grain on field, detonates it in a burst window, then offloads damage to Hathor and Jiuyuan while she recharges. The Lost Radiance cassette set with Contemplative Cat arc is fully farmable and gives one of the strongest Main DPS rotations in the current meta.

Ratings
Strengths
- Highest single-target damage output when Grain is properly managed
- BiS arc (Contemplative Cat) is fully farmable — no banner pulls required
- Hanahaki Disease passive charges the entire team's Ultimates passively
- Cosmos/Lakshana/Anima triangle generates chain reactions for fast Ultimate cycling
- Lost Radiance 4-piece is a dedicated carry set with 25% DEF ignore
- A5 Awakening removes all opener ramp — instant burst from turn 1
Weaknesses
- Requires active resource management — sub-optimal play hits harder than most DPS
- Hathor's 5-second burst window demands precise swap timing (cancels instantly on swap)
- Contemplative Cat scales with Fons held — early-game players may fall below the cap
- Lower performance in fights that force constant team cycling
Gameplay — The Grain Economy
Chiz's entire kit revolves around a resource called Grain. It accumulates from Normal Attacks, feeds her Skill damage, and powers her Ultimate's burst window. Every decision is about when to spend it and when to let it grow.
The 3-state cycle
Accumulation — build Grain
Normal Attacks generate Grain continuously. When Grain is high, use Skill (3 charges) for massive Cosmos DMG — each Skill press scales directly on current Grain. Use 2 Normal Attacks between each Skill press to partially refill Grain before the next hit.
Surplus state — Grain at cap
When Grain is at maximum, A2 generates passive interest (10% per second). This is your signal to open a Skill rotation — spend the surplus for peak damage output before it stagnates.
Debt state — Grain Market (Ultimate)
Cast Ultimate when Grain is depleted or low. Chiz enters the Grain Market for 7 seconds: she receives a Grain Loan (Grain goes negative = Debt state), the first Grain Settlement is guaranteed Crit, and each Skill press during the window settles the current Grain for explosive burst damage. Time Skill presses carefully — the damage scaling on each Settlement scales with the Grain value at the moment of press.
Key rules
- Do NOT cast Ultimate when Grain is full — you waste the Debt window's scaling. Wait until Grain is depleted from Skill spam, then fire.
- Do NOT swap during Hathor's Emergency Delivery — her 5s burst cancels immediately on swap. Stay until the motorcycle disappears.
- Always play Haniel first — cast Ultimate (Paranormal Ace) then Skill to deploy Hootie. The Nova Enhancement ATK buff runs off-field. Missing this opener loses team-wide ATK for the whole fight.
Chiz — Skill Priority
Stores up to 3 charges (Redirect Skill). Press consecutively to cast 3 instances — each hit deals Cosmos DMG scaled on current Grain count. Important: Skill DMG cannot Crit outside of the Grain Market. Hold to continuously consume Grain across the second instance for consecutive Cosmos DMG hits (also cannot Crit). During the Grain Market (Ultimate active): Press starts a Grain Settlement at the beginning of the next Skill; Hold triggers Grain Settlement immediately but will not trigger again at the next Skill start.
Deals Cosmos DMG and enters the Grain Market for 7s. During this window: the first Grain Settlement DMG is guaranteed to Crit, and Chiz immediately receives Grain Loan (Grain goes negative — Debt state). Grain Settlement scales on the Grain Price set at the moment of first activation. Cast when Grain is depleted or low to maximise the Grain Loan depth and the Debt ramp.
Deals Cosmos DMG. Grants Grain on hit. Primary Grain generation tool — use between Skill presses to rebuild Grain before the next burst window.
Deals Cosmos DMG on swap-in. Maintains momentum during rotation but lowest upgrade priority.
Charge Enhancement: Grants active characters 4 additional Ultimate Energy. Feeds the whole team's Ultimate uptime passively — accelerates Hathor's stack loop and Jiuyuan's Final Reckoning cooldown.
+20% Charge Efficiency while Chiz is on field. Directly increases Ultimate Energy generation speed — keep her on field as long as possible to benefit from this.
Upgrade order: Skill → Ultimate → Normal Attack → Chain / Passives. Skill is the primary damage ability and scales with Grain — every level increases the Grain settlement multiplier. Ultimate enables the Grain Market window so it directly unlocks the burst cycle. Normal Attack is your Grain generator and worth leveling after the core two.
Awakenings
Chiz enters combat with maximum Grain already loaded. Removes the ramp-up phase entirely — your first Skill sequence deals full Grain-scaled damage from the very first hit.
+15% Bonus Cosmos DMG from Grain. Amplifies every Grain Settlement and Skill hit directly — the highest raw damage multiplier in her kit.
While in Surplus state, Grain generates 10% interest per second automatically. Keeps her resource cycling even during brief off-field phases or rotation pauses.
+10% Grain and Grain Loan storage capacity. Larger Grain pool means higher scaling on each Skill press and a deeper Debt window for her Ultimate.
+20% Grain acquisition efficiency. Speeds up Grain generation from Normal Attacks — useful to shorten the time between burst windows.
+50% chance of a Grain Price increase. RNG-dependent bonus that occasionally boosts Grain Settlement values — reliable enough at high uptime but not a priority over A5/A6.
+50% Grain acquisition efficiency while in Debt state. Situational — only applies during the Debt phase after her Ultimate. Worth unlocking eventually but not a priority.
When Chiz deals damage to a target, reduces the target's Cosmos Esper damage resistance by 10%. Team-wide multiplier — benefits any Cosmos character in the comp, including Chiz herself.
Priority order: A5 → A6 → A2 → A8 → A1 → A4. A5 eliminates opener ramp entirely (full Grain from turn 1) and A6 is a flat +15% Bonus Cosmos DMG from Grain — both are mandatory for serious content. A8 reduces the target's Cosmos Esper damage resistance by 10%, benefiting any Cosmos character in the team.
Arc
Increases Cosmos DMG by 2.5% per 100k Fons held, up to 10 stacks (+25% at 1M Fons). Passive uptime — once you have the Fons it never drops. The game's economy naturally keeps you above 1M Fons during late game. Fully recommended as the primary farm target.
+18% Charge Efficiency and Team ATK +10% for 20s after Ultimate (+6% extra if enemies are controlled). Strong all-rounder — the charge efficiency speeds up rotation and the team ATK buff amplifies Hathor and Jiuyuan's burst windows.
+8% DMG per stack for 10s after Critical Dodge, up to 3 stacks (+24% total). Rewards active dodge play — excellent for players comfortable with Chiz's movement and parry timing.
4-star arc: +18% DMG for 10s after casting Support Skill. Solid f2p budget option — the 10s window covers her burst phase. Replace with a 5-star arc when possible.
Cassette Set & Stats
- 2-piece: Cosmos DMG +10%
- 4-piece: Ignores 25% of enemies' DEF for 20s after Ultimate
Both bonuses are tailor-made for Chiz: the 2-piece amplifies all Cosmos DMG directly, and the 4-piece DEF ignore activates after her Ultimate — covering the entire Grain Market window and the rotation that follows. Pairs directly with A6 Awakening and the Contemplative Cat Cosmos DMG bonus for massive multiplier stacking.

Team — Who Does What
Chiz · CosmosMain DPS
The carry. Chiz stays on field the longest — she builds Grain from Normal Attacks, detonates it with Skill (3 charges), and opens the Grain Market via Ultimate for a burst window. Her Hanahaki Disease passive charges the entire team's Ultimates while she attacks, making the rotation extremely energy-efficient.
Hathor · LakshanaBurst Sub-DPS / Battery
The Lakshana battery and burst off-fielder. Hathor accumulates Express Delivery Power stacks via Aerial Command (Skill), then activates Emergency Delivery (Rider Express Ultimate) — a 5-second window where Aerial Command upgrades to Cyclone Strike for massive Lakshana burst. Her Delay Warning passive extends Remora to 12s and gives the whole team +10% Crit Rate on Remora-affected targets. Critical rule: Emergency Delivery ends immediately on character swap — never leave early.
Jiuyuan · AnimaCC / Pact Detonator
The grouper and Pact engine. Intel Hunter (Skill) gathers targets, deals Anima DMG, grants 4 Rose Pact Bullets, and establishes a Lethal Rose Pact on enemies. Final Reckoning (Ultimate) triggers Pact Settlement on all bound targets simultaneously — huge Anima burst. His Whispers at My Command passive also binds targets not already under Lethal Rose Pact when Vita Pistils hit them, and deals +15% Anima DMG on additional settlements. Operates almost entirely off-field once the Pact is active.
Haniel · PsycheBuffer — 4★
The off-field ATK drainer. Haniel deploys Hootie via Silent Moonlit Forest Guardian (Skill) — Hootie remains on field and generates Nova reactions. Her Nova Enhancementpassive (It's Friendship!) triggers when Nova ends: it drains ATK from the target (loses up to 20% of initial ATK) and gives each ally ATK equal to 8% of Haniel's Base ATK. Her Ultimate (A Melody Named Haniel) enters Paranormal Acestate, enhancing Hootie's effects. Play her at opener to deploy Hootie + activate Paranormal Ace, then bench — the buff runs off-field. A 4-star that punches way above her pull cost.
Why this element triangle works
Cosmos (Chiz) · Lakshana (Hathor) · Anima (Jiuyuan) form a three-way Esper Cycle reaction chain. Each element pair triggers a bonus reaction that restores Ultimate Energy to the active character — with all three elements represented and Chiz's Hanahaki Disease passive granting +4 Energy on every hit, the team cycles Ultimates faster than almost any other composition. Haniel's Psyche element completes the quad without overlapping any of the three core elements.

Alternatives
Rotation
Haniel — open with buffs
Cast Ultimate (Paranormal Ace state) then Skill to deploy Hootie on the field. Swap immediately — Hootie stays active and the Nova Enhancement ATK drain/buff triggers off-field.
Jiuyuan — group & bind
Cast Intel Hunter (Skill) to gather enemies, deal Anima DMG, grant 4 Rose Pact Bullets, and establish Lethal Rose Pact on targets. Swap after — the Pact persists.
Hathor — start stacking
Press Aerial Command (Skill) to gain 2 stacks of Express Delivery Power and begin charging her Ultimate. Swap after — she continues passively generating stacks off-field.
Chiz — main burst window
Launch Ultimate to enter the Grain Market (7s). During this window press Skill 3 times — the first Settlement is a guaranteed Crit. Use 2 Normal Attacks between each Skill press to regenerate Grain between settlements.
Hathor — finish her burst
When Chiz's Grain Market expires, swap to Hathor. If she has stacks ready, fire Rider Express (Ultimate) to enter Emergency Delivery (5s). Use Cyclone Strike repeatedly inside the window. CRITICAL: do not swap out until Emergency Delivery ends — it cancels immediately on swap.
Jiuyuan — Pact Settlement
Swap to Jiuyuan and cast Final Reckoning (Ultimate) to trigger Pact Settlement on all targets bound by Lethal Rose Pact simultaneously. High Anima burst, especially effective against grouped enemies.
Haniel — refresh Hootie
If Hootie is no longer active, take 2 seconds to swap back to Haniel and recast Skill to redeploy her. Skip if Hootie is still on field.
Repeat
Return to Chiz. Normal Attack to rebuild Grain, then re-enter the burst sequence when Ultimate is ready. With Hanahaki Disease passive (+4 Ultimate Energy on hit), the whole team's Ultimates recharge quickly.

Pull for her if…
- You want a Main DPS who stays on field and builds a resource you control
- You own or plan to pull Hathor — the Cosmos/Lakshana/Anima triangle is this team's engine
- You enjoy tight rotation gameplay with a clear power window to optimise
- Boss content is your main activity — this team excels in single-target and grouped fights
- You want Contemplative Cat (BiS arc) which is farmable and requires no pulls
- You want an energy-generating passive (Hanahaki Disease) that feeds your entire team
Skip if…
- You need a simple carry with no resource management
- You cannot keep Chiz on field long enough to build Grain before swapping
- You plan to skip Hathor — the burst window coverage drops significantly without her
- Your playstyle involves constant character cycling (Chiz rewards extended on-field time)
Chiz is one of the strongest Main DPS characters in NTE when her Grain economy is managed correctly. This team achieves that with minimal friction: Haniel buffs passively, Jiuyuan groups and marks off-field, and Hathor delivers a hard burst window in 5 seconds between Chiz's rotations. With a fully farmable BiS arc (Contemplative Cat) and the Lost Radiance set dropping from standard sources, the investment curve is among the most accessible for a top-tier comp. The only real ceiling is learning when to cast the Ultimate — wait for empty Grain.
