Aurelia Guide

The jellyfish-riding shop manager: a 4★ Psyche Main DPS built around a self-sustaining Cadenza window and a Crescendo ATK ramp — and, on a Nova team, a free burst payoff on every Nova expiry. A capable mid 4★ in Version 1.0: solid and accessible, not meta-defining.

Contextual: best on AoE / grouped content and as a Nova payoff, mid on Ease of Use (movement-heavy) and F2P (best arc needs a pull).

Community read — ZeroLuck tier-vote, Patch 1.0 (live, n=15 votes across roles): DPS A 2.9/5 (10 votes) · Hybrid B 1.67/5 (3) · Support B 1.5/5 (2). She is voted almost exclusively as a DPS — the role-flex samples are too small to treat as a real signal, just noise.

Trend: no recent tier shift, she is stable in the current patch. Watch the live tier list for the up-to-date standing.

Strengths

  • Mobile, high-uptime carry with a self-sustaining Cadenza window
  • Strong AoE + a built-in pull (Canon Chorus) for scattered packs
  • Nova Enhancement adds free burst on every Nova expiry
  • Crescendo gives a near-permanent self-ATK ramp once riding
  • 4★ rarity with a clear, game-given stat + arc path

Weaknesses

  • AoE-leaning — not a pure single-target boss nuke
  • Movement-heavy; Staccato uptime is mandatory for her ATK ramp
  • Best arc (Stellar Veil) has no farmable 5★ substitute
  • Nova payoff and A8 buff need a Psyche / Nova team to matter

Gameplay — Cadenza & Crescendo

Aurelia is a window carry. Cadenza Aria opens the Cadenza state (12s), and almost every awakening she has makes that window better. While it is up you ride the jellyfish (Staccato) and spam blasts that stack Crescendo ATK, then cash out with Canon Chorus. The loop is always open Cadenza → ride & ramp → burst → extend.

Why she is also a Nova payoff

  • Harmonics — Nova Enhancement: when a target's Nova ends she deals 3 Psyche hits at 50% ATK each
  • Shared Melody (A8) — entering/extending Cadenza grants all allies +8% Psyche DMG for 15s
  • Crescendo — jellyfish blasts ramp her ATK to a near-permanent self-buff while riding

That is the key decision with Aurelia: solo carry or Nova payoff. Solo, Cadenza + Crescendo + Canon Chorus is her damage. Slotted next to a Nova partner like Fadia, the Harmonics expiry hits and her A8 team buff add value beyond her own numbers — meet that condition and she over-performs her rarity, ignore it and she is a solid standalone Psyche carry.

Skills

Upgrade priority

  1. Cadenza Aria
  2. Cappella
  3. Canon Chorus
  4. Dissonance

Skill

Cadenza Aria

Deals AoE Psyche DMG and enters the Cadenza state for 12s. Cadenza is the engine of her whole kit: A1 makes it +15% CRIT Rate, A3 adds +20% Canon Chorus DMG, A6 grants 10 Crescendo stacks on cast and A8 buffs the whole team's Psyche DMG. Everything she does is timed around keeping this window up.

Normal Attack

Cappella

Up to a 4-hit Psyche combo (Legato). Hold dodge while moving for Staccato — a high-speed jellyfish ride that auto-fires Psyche blasts near enemies, with Syncopation firing four blasts off a Critical Dodge. Portamento is a fall-scaling plunge (up to +100%). Each jellyfish blast stacks Crescendo (+1% ATK, up to 10 — 20 with A6), so attack uptime literally builds her damage.

Ultimate

Canon Chorus

Gathers nearby jellyfish for 6 instances of AoE Psyche DMG and lightly pulls targets together. The grouping is real utility on scattered packs, and with A3 (+20% in Cadenza) and A5 (+15% CRIT Rate) it is a heavy burst — fire it inside the Cadenza window.

Chain Skill

Dissonance

A swap-in command for one instance of AoE Psyche DMG. With A2 it also enters or extends the Cadenza state by 5s — so on an A2+ build the swap-in is also a Cadenza extender, not just filler. Lowest raw upgrade priority.

Passive

Harmonics

Nova Enhancement: after a target's Nova status ends, deals 3 instances of Psyche DMG equal to 50% of ATK each. This plugs her into NTE's shared Nova system — the same mechanic Fadia and Haniel build around — so on a Nova team she contributes extra burst on every Nova expiry, not only her own rotation.

Passive

Crescendo

Every jellyfish blast that hits grants +1% Aurelia ATK for 5s, up to 10 stacks (raised to 20 with A6, plus 10 free on Cadenza Aria). Because Staccato spams blasts, this is a near-permanent ATK ramp once you are riding — her core self-buff.

Skill scaling — Lv 1 → Lv 11

Real damage ratios (% of ATK) from the in-game codex. The Ultimate is by far the heaviest single payoff — every level you invest into Canon Chorus widens the burst window more than any other skill.

Harmonics, Crescendo and Boundless Sound have no scalingTable in the imported codex — Harmonics fires a fixed 3× 50% ATK on Nova expiry, Crescendo is a flat +1% ATK / 10-stack window, and Boundless Sound is the jellyfish-traversal utility. Only the rows above benefit from skill books.

Awakenings

Priority: A1 → A6 → A2 → A3 → A5 → A8, then A4 / A7. She is fully functional at A0 — awakenings raise the ceiling, they do not gate her. A1 is the biggest jump because Cadenza is near-permanent; A6 then doubles her self-ATK ceiling on top.

S

A1

Futuristic Prelude

+15% CRIT Rate while in the Cadenza state. Since Cadenza is up almost all the time on a played rotation, this is near-permanent crit rate — the single biggest stat spike on her chart and it lets you build CRIT DMG on substats.

S

A6

Bygone Fugue

Max Crescendo stacks raised to 20, plus 10 stacks granted instantly on Cadenza Aria. Doubles her self-ATK ceiling and front-loads it on every Skill cast — a large, consistent multiplier.

A

A2

Unique Melody

Critical Dodge or Dissonance enters Cadenza for 5s (extends by 5s if active, up to 12s). Makes Cadenza uptime self-sustaining off her dodge — the line that turns 'mostly up' into 'always up'.

A

A3

Trio Rest

+20% Canon Chorus DMG while in Cadenza. A direct boost to her biggest burst button, conditional only on the window she should always be in.

B

A5

Simple Melody

+15% Canon Chorus CRIT Rate. Stacks with A1 to make her ultimate near-guaranteed to crit; solid once the S/A lines are in.

B

A8

Shared Melody

Entering or extending Cadenza grants all allies +8% Psyche DMG for 15s (refreshes on reapply). Turns her into a part-time Psyche-team buffer — strong on a mono-Psyche line, niche solo.

C

A4

Staff Gap

+20% Aurelia DEF when casting Staccato. Pure survivability — quality of life on a DPS, low priority.

C

A7

Universal Harmony

+1 skill level to Cappella, Cadenza Aria and Canon Chorus. A flat stat-stick — unlock last.

Cassette Set & Stats

  • 2-piece: Psyche DMG +10%
  • 4-piece: +18% DMG, raised to +36% against units affected by Nova or Stain

Tailor-made for her: the 2-piece amplifies her element and the 4-piece doubles against Nova targets — exactly the state her Harmonics passive is built around.

  • 2-piece: ATK +10%
  • 4-piece: +25% ATK for 20s after casting a Skill

Generic offensive fallback. Aurelia opens with Cadenza Aria every rotation, so the post-Skill 4-piece uptime is reliable — a safe set while farming Devil's Blood.

Aurelia
AureliaMain DPS / Nova

Psyche · Plasma. Rides the jellyfish to spam blasts, holds the Cadenza window, and on every Nova expiry adds 3 extra Psyche hits via Harmonics — carry or Nova-payoff depending on the team.

Haniel
HanielPsyche buff

Psyche damage-boost support. Her A8 (Sequel) grants the team +12% Crit DMG while in Paranormal Ace state — that lands on top of Aurelia's stacked Crescendo (+10% ATK at cap) and the Cadenza Crit Rate window, multiplying every jellyfish blast and the Canon Chorus burst (lv11 192.1% ×5 + 119.2%) directly.

Fadia
FadiaNova / sustain

Psyche survival unit running Nova Enhancement. Her A8 (The Unified Saint) is a flat +10% team ATK while she's on the team — a permanent multiplier on Aurelia's pure ATK-scaling kit. She also feeds the Nova system Harmonics converts into 3× 50% ATK follow-ups, so every Nova she sets up triggers a free Aurelia hit on expiry.

Edgar

Cosmos healer. His A6 (Visitor from Planet Curiosity) grants +15% team DEF inside Finnegan's Wake and his A1 banks a Key of Truth on every teammate Support Skill — the survival cushion Aurelia needs while she stays glued to the jellyfish through the full Cadenza window.

Optimal Rotation

  1. Open Cadenza

Lead with Cadenza Aria for the AoE hit and to enter the 12s Cadenza window. With A6 this immediately banks 10 Crescendo stacks; with A1 you now have +15% CRIT Rate. Everything below happens inside this window.

  2. Ride & blast

Hold dodge for Staccato and stay mobile — jellyfish blasts auto-fire near enemies and each one stacks Crescendo ATK. Use Syncopation off a Critical Dodge for four free blasts. Build toward the 10 (or 20 with A6) cap fast.

  3. Canon Chorus burst

Fire Canon Chorus inside Cadenza for the 6-hit AoE and the pull. With A3 (+20% in Cadenza) and A5 (+15% CRIT Rate) this is your biggest single payoff — never use it outside the window.

  4. Extend the window

On an A2+ build, weave Critical Dodge or Dissonance to extend Cadenza by 5s and keep it permanently up. Re-cast Cadenza Aria the moment it would drop.

  5. Cash in Nova

On a Nova team, time your damage so targets expire Nova while you are attacking — Harmonics adds 3 Psyche hits per expiry (50% ATK each). On a solo line, just hold Cadenza and rebuild Crescendo.

Golden rule: never fire Canon Chorus outside the Cadenza window — that is where its multipliers live.

Should You Pull?

Pull if…

  • You want a mobile, high-uptime Psyche Main DPS that is fun to actually pilot
  • You run or plan a Nova team — Harmonics pays off on every Nova expiry
  • You want a 4★ carry whose best-in-slot path is clear straight from the data
  • You like a self-sustaining buff window (Cadenza) instead of a stop-start rotation
  • AoE and scattered-pack content is your focus — Canon Chorus groups and nukes

Skip if…

  • You want a pure single-target boss nuke — her damage is paced and AoE-leaning
  • You dislike movement-heavy play — Staccato riding is core to her ATK ramp
  • You are strictly F2P on arcs — Stellar Veil needs a pull, only a 4★ is farmable
  • You already have a stronger Psyche carry and no Nova-team need

New / casual players: Aurelia is one of the more satisfying 4★ carries to learn — a self-sustaining Cadenza window plus strong AoE makes story and mid difficulty smooth on her A0 kit, and as a 4★ she is easy to obtain. A good early Psyche backbone.

F2P / low-spend: the character is worth it; the signature arc is the only paywall. Run Oraora! (4★ Plasma, ATK%, farmable) and you keep the large majority of her power without ever touching a banner for gear.

Invested / endgame: this is where the dual identity pays off. With A1 + A6, Stellar Veil and Devil's Blood: Curse she is a high-uptime Psyche carry; slotted into a Nova line next to Fadia / Haniel her Harmonics expiry hits and A8 team buff add value beyond her own bar. The condition is a Psyche / Nova payoff — meet it and she punches above her rarity, ignore it and she is a solid solo carry.

Bottom line: a capable budget 4★ the community rates DPS A, not a top pick — fun and accessible for new and F2P players, and worth building if you specifically want a Nova-team payoff. If you already have a stronger Psyche carry, she is not an upgrade.

FAQ

Is Aurelia a good Main DPS?

Yes — she is a tagged Main DPS and a strong one for a 4★. Her damage is built around keeping the Cadenza window up while riding the jellyfish to spam blasts that stack Crescendo ATK. She leans AoE (Canon Chorus groups and nukes packs), so she is excellent on scattered content and very solid, if not a pure nuke, on single bosses.

Do I need a Nova team for her?

No, but it is where her ceiling is. Her Harmonics passive is Nova Enhancement — after a target's Nova ends she deals 3 extra Psyche hits at 50% ATK each. Without a Nova payoff she is still a self-sufficient carry via Cadenza and Crescendo; with Fadia or Haniel feeding the shared Nova system she gets meaningful free burst on top.

What is the best Arc for Aurelia?

Stellar Veil — and that is the game's own recommendation in her cultivation data, not just ours. It is a 5★ Plasma arc with an ATK% sub-stat, which feeds her Crescendo ATK scaling. Raging Flames (5★ Plasma, CRIT DMG) is the alternative once A1 self-solves crit rate; Oraora! (4★ Plasma, ATK%) is the farmable budget pick.

What is the best Cassette Set?

Devil's Blood: Curse 4-piece. The 2-piece is Psyche DMG +10% (her element); the 4-piece is +18% DMG, doubled to +36% against units affected by Nova or Stain — which lines up perfectly with her Nova Enhancement playstyle. Shadow Creed (ATK +10% / +25% ATK after Skill) is a safe generic alternative while you farm it.

What stats should I prioritise?

Straight from her in-game recommended attributes: Psyche DMG > CRIT Rate > CRIT DMG > Universal DMG Bonus > ATK% > ATK. Once A1 is unlocked the +15% CRIT Rate inside Cadenza lets you shift sub-stats off CRIT Rate and into CRIT DMG for a higher ceiling.

Which Awakening matters most?

A1 (Futuristic Prelude) is the biggest spike — near-permanent +15% CRIT Rate via the always-up Cadenza window. Then A6 (doubled Crescendo cap + 10 free per Skill) and A2 (self-sustaining Cadenza uptime). Priority: A1 → A6 → A2 → A3 → A5 → A8, with A4 / A7 last. She is fully functional at A0.

Is Aurelia F2P-friendly?

The character is — she is a 4★, her A0 kit (Cadenza + Crescendo + Nova payoff) all works without dupes. The paywall is the arc: Stellar Veil needs a banner pull and only the 4★ Oraora! is farmable. F2P players run Oraora! and still keep the large majority of her value.

Is she worth it for casual / story play?

Yes. A self-sustaining damage window plus AoE grouping makes story and mid difficulty smooth on her base 4★ kit, and as a 4★ she is easy to obtain. The Nova synergy and A8 Psyche buffing only matter when you push the hardest endgame content with a built Psyche team.
