Release window

Ananta is currently targeting a release window of 2026. No exact day has been confirmed publicly — treat it as a window, not a date.

Announced: August 24, 2023 (announced as Project Mugen at Gamescom). Renamed to Ananta on November 29, 2024; new trailer published December 5, 2024.

Cross-play & cross-progression

Cross-play between PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile (iOS / Android) is widely reported and consistent with NetEase's single-account, multi-platform launch plan. It is NOT stated in the September 22, 2025 TGS press release (which only lists 'PC, PlayStation 5 and mobile platforms') — treat it as reported rather than formally itemised until NetEase details it.

Cross-progression (one account, all devices) is reported alongside cross-play but, like cross-play, is not spelled out in the September 22, 2025 press release. Treat as expected pending a clearer official source.

Closed Technical Test #1 (CBT1)

2026-01-16 – 2026-01-20 · China only (CN-region accounts) · Completed (closed / invite-only)

Platform: PC. Approximately 46 GB. SSD required.

DualSense PS5 controller support was reported for the CBT1 PC build; NetEase has not itemised it in an official spec.

Recruited via pre-registration on anantagame.com plus a NetEase selection process. Five main-chapter slots plus character storylines were testable. Playable cast confirmed on social: Captain, Taffy, Richie.
