Anomaly Story
T-1881 (Ob) Scarlet Phantom is an Anomaly that occasionally appears at performance venues, such as concert halls, theaters, cinemas, and so on. It often manifests as black-and-white evening wear, with men's and women's outfits always appearing in pairs. The pairs of clothing will float in midair and engage in ballroom or other styles of dancing.
Because Scarlet Phantom is drawn to ostentatious performances and is subsequently nullified following their ending, this Anomaly is typically considered harmless. However, disrupting a performance, or inhibiting Scarlet Phantom's dance, will trigger an aggressive response from the Anomaly. When attacking, what were once moves dedicated to dancing transform into moves for combat. For experienced Anomaly Hunters, Scarlet Phantom poses little to no threat.
However, Scarlet Phantoms are known to appear in groups, thereby greatly increasing their danger to the public. Some performers regard the appearance of Scarlet Phantoms as a sign of a spectacular performance. This belief isn't entirely unfounded, considering that Scarlet Phantoms have distinct tastes. However, it is always ideal to remain conscious of their threat levels, and notify the Bureau of any Anomaly appearances.
- Characteristics
- - Drawn to grand performances, they attack anyone who tries to hinder their performance. - Recent reports indicate that when an object, imbued with intense human obsession, is present in the environment, the underlying nullification rules are severely disrupted, and a corresponding performance stage is constructed according to said obsession.
- Anomaly Nexus
- When the performance that attracts them ends, or when their dance steps are disrupted by an external force. When Scarlet Phantoms are in a state where their underlying nullification logic has been disrupted, active intervention in the stage they have constructed is required, and the core entity within the area must be defeated to force the performance to conclude.
- Risk Assessment
- Low hazard. When they appear in groups, the hazard level may rise to moderate.
- Containment Status
- A small number are contained at Celaeno Compound.
- Containment Measures
- The Containment Units must provide enough space for dancing. Since this Anomaly is naturally nullified when the performance ends, the Containment Units should continuously play classic performances that have previously attracted Scarlet Phantoms on a large screen, and the playback list should be updated according to appearance records.
