An Object Anomaly with a humanoid shape and a torso resembling a traditional light bulb. When it appears, it steals electricity and causes power outages in the surrounding area. Only appears at night.

The purpose of an electric light is to shine, but there are exceptions. Only appears at night.

Anomaly Story

The Eternal Lamp is an Anomaly that emerged with the invention of electric lighting, having transformed from discarded light bulbs. In the earliest records, the Eternal Lamp looked very different from its current form, appearing as an ordinary small light bulb. Its unique ability was being able to glow continuously without any attached power supply. Research revealed that the Eternal Lamp was actually siphoning electricity from other light bulbs to do so.

Within a one-kilometer radius, all other bulbs would dim noticeably. As technology advanced and new types of electric lights replaced old bulbs, the Eternal Lamp gradually completed its evolution: no longer limited to stealing power from lights alone, it began stealing all forms of electricity. Its appearance also became larger and more aggressive.

The survival pressure on the Eternal Lamp drove its evolution, and the abundance of electricity of the new era provided the perfect source of energy for this transformation. Under these favorable conditions, the Eternal Lamp completed its metamorphosis from a mere light bulb to its current form. It seems anomalies are not static after their creation, but can adapt and change over time.

Anomaly Characteristics
This Anomaly commonly appears in groups in alleyways at night, plunging the surrounding area into power outages accompanied by spreading black fog. Entire blocks succumb into darkness, severely disrupting residents' daily lives. Additionally, its stealing behavior damages the circuit boards of power facilities. After charging itself to full capacity, the anomaly enters a satiated state and gradually grows stronger, requiring ever more electricity. This Anomaly appears extremely stingy with its stored power, strictly controlling electricity usage with each attack. Attempting to drain its power externally will provoke intense resistance. After the yellow core battery is destroyed, the Eternal Lamp will collapse. If other active Eternal Lamps are nearby, they will move to recharge their fallen companion, bringing it back into the battle. Therefore, all Eternal Lamps in the area must be defeated simultaneously to achieve nullification. After this Anomaly undergoes nullification, the power it siphoned will return, any damage caused will restore itself, and the surrounding fog will dissipate.
Anomaly Nexus
A single Eternal Lamp becomes paralyzed once its yellow core battery is destroyed. Complete nullification requires defeating all Eternal Lamps in the area simultaneously.
Risk Assessment
Its behavior disrupts residents' normal lives and poses an explosion risk. Prompt nullification upon discovery is recommended.
Containment/Guarantee Status
Containment costs are too high and research value too low. Containment is not recommended. Standard protocol is nullification.
Containment Measures
Requires continuous power supply to the containment unit.
Experiment Records
Experiment 1 Drained electricity from an Eternal Lamp individual. The subject exhibited intense aggressive behavior. After complete power extraction, the subject self-destructed. Experiment 2 Attempted to continuously supply sufficient electricity to an Eternal Lamp. Power was continuously absorbed until the experiment was terminated due to a small-scale laboratory blackout. Conclusion: Containment costs for this Anomaly are too high and research value too low. Containment is not recommended.
