Factors That Influence the Capture Rate

From behind

The main method. Significantly increases the capture rate. Approach slowly, staying out of the Aniimo's line of sight.

While sleeping

Even better. A sleeping Aniimo is easier to capture. Wait for the right moment or look for sleeping Aniimo.

Aniimo spotted you

The capture rate drops if the Aniimo has seen you. Avoid being detected before throwing the capsule.

Higher level

If the Aniimo is a higher level than you, your odds decrease. Prepare higher-tier capsules.

Tip — If you throw a capsule (Aniipod) and you miss the target, the capsule automatically comes back to you. No need to worry about wasting Aniipods.

Your Aniimo's 3 Combat Modes

During combat, your Aniimo can be set to 3 modes that influence its behavior.

Offensive Mode

Your Aniimo automatically targets the closest enemy and attacks continuously. Ideal for farming and standard grinding.

Use: Standard combat, zone completion, boss hunts.

Defensive Mode

Your Aniimo stops attacking on its own, but retaliates if hit. Preserves the enemy's HP to make capture easier.

Use: When you want to gradually weaken a target Aniimo without accidentally killing it.

Capture Mode

Your Aniimo helps reduce HP then automatically stops when the enemy Aniimo reaches a health threshold. Prevents accidental kills.

Use: Essential for 80% zone completion and targeted captures.

Aniipods — The Poké Ball Equivalents

Higher-tier capsules give a higher capture rate, especially on high-level Aniimo.
Ultra Aniipod: 100% capture rate. Captures any Aniimo without a prior fight. Available in the shop for in-game currency.
Tumble Capsule: captures several Aniimo simultaneously in a group. Rate below 100% but excellent for mass farming and zone completion.
Various rarities purchasable in the shop with in-game currency — no premium currency.

Farming + Tumble Capsule Combo

Activate Culture in a zone (80% completion required).
A group of Aniimo is summoned in the zone.
Throw the Tumble Capsule on the group — multiple captures at once.
XP per capture + chances of finding an Aniimo with ideal stats or a Sparkling.

Alpha Bosses — Open-World Captures

Alphas roam the open world. When combat starts, a boundary forms — it continues until victory, escape, or defeat.
After defeating an Alpha, you have the option to capture it. The natural rate is low — use a specific Aniipod for better odds.
Alphas are the same size as their standard versions — only the power differs. Their stats can be better or worse than the standard version.
Alphas can be fought as a group — a natural co-op activity in the open world.

Sparkling Hunt

The game shows a notification when a Sparkling is nearby. Stay alert.
Sparklings are found in the wild or come from egg hatching.
Aniimo raised through Culture have a significantly higher Sparkling rate than wild captures.
Sparklings always have their Rare Trait pre-unlocked — no need for a Trait Fruit.
When you capture a Sparkling, you can update its Aniilog entry with the photo of its rare variant.
