Everything Version 1.6 brings (from Dev Note #14)
1. Version 1.6 is the 100-Day summer event. A dedicated summer-vacation event zone with an exclusive story, a special event boss, and new materials to gather. You earn Mannie's swimsuit for free just by clearing the story, and there are Star Fragments across the zone's activities.
2. Three summer swimsuits. Merlin, Clotho and Mannie all get swimsuit costumes. Thanks to the costume-draw system you can pull a costume even before you own the hero, then equip it the moment they return.
3. Taranis gets an easier mode. A new lower “[Hell]” difficulty pays the same Star Fragments as today's [Abyss], but the armor pieces no longer drop off the boss; you exchange Mystic Tokens earned on your runs for them instead.
4. Pets go to work. A new Pet Expedition system sends your captured pets out to gather materials (from tree sap to platinum ore) across regions. Higher-grade pets with the right skills gather more.
5. Escanor is buffed. Easier trigger conditions on his Axe and Greatsword skills, more utility, and a higher overall damage cap, exact numbers to come in the patch notes.
6. Plus a long list of AMA answers: a multiplayer mini-game (“Magi★Pop”) in week 2, per-weapon gear presets on July 15, the Knighthood (guild) boss & ranking in July, hero reruns from the half-anniversary, and the official Combined Attack rules finally spelled out.
The 100-Day summer event
A dedicated summer-vacation event zone with its own story, a special boss and new things to collect.
Version 1.6 is built around a special summer season event for the game's 100-day milestone, the “summer vacation” theme teased over the past two weeks. You play through an exclusive story in a dedicated event zone, and clearing it hands you Mannie's swimsuit for free. The zone also has a special event boss to challenge and new resources to collect, with Star Fragments spread across its activities.
Gathering and mining in the event zone yield Platinum Ore, Sunstone Ore and Flower Petals of Pure Love, plus other armor-crafting materials, Netmarble's direct answer to the platinum shortage players raised at the AMA (more on that below).
Three summer swimsuits
- Mannie: free via the story — Mannie's swimsuit is earned simply by progressing through the event's story. No draw required.
- Merlin: costume draw — Merlin's swimsuit comes through the costume draw.
- Clotho: costume draw — Clotho's swimsuit joins the draw too. The costume-draw system lets you obtain a costume even if you don't own the hero yet, equip it the instant they return on a future banner.
New materials to gather
- Platinum Ore — Mined in the event zone, the resource players said they're shortest on.
- Sunstone Ore — Another crafting material gathered across the zone.
- Flower Petals of Pure Love — A summer-themed collectible used in armor crafting.
Taranis [Hell]: an easier way into the raid
A new lower difficulty for the Taranis's Sanctuary raid, with the same Star Fragments and a token exchange for the armor.
The hardest, most-asked-about question at the AMA was the difficulty of the Taranis's Sanctuary raid. Netmarble's answer for 1.6 is a new, easier “[Hell]” difficulty (which Dev Note #14 previewed under the name “[Infernal]”) that sits below the current [Abyss], and crucially, it pays out the same amount of Star Fragments, the resource players need most.
How [Hell] differs from [Abyss]
- Same Star Fragments, lower bar — Because it's more accessible, [Hell] is meant as a stepping stone: farm Star Fragments here to power up your heroes, then graduate to [Abyss]. The Star Fragment payout matches [Abyss].
- Armor via Mystic Tokens, not boss drops — Since [Hell] is easier, the raid's armor pieces don't drop directly off the boss here. Instead, 1.6 adds an exchange where you trade the Mystic Tokens earned on your runs for those same armor pieces.
Pet Expedition: send your pets to gather
Put captured pets to work collecting materials so you don't have to run the map yourself.
The Pet Expedition system lets you send the pets you've captured out to gather field materials on your behalf (anything from tree sap up to platinum ore) across the game's regions. Which pets are eligible depends on the type and grade of the resource, and expedition efficiency scales with each pet's grade and skills. Netmarble frames this as the first step toward making capture an ongoing goal: as more pets are added, the expedition system grows with them.
Pet capture itself gets a pass in the same update. A higher-grade charm potion is being added above the current one, giving you a small chance at the hidden pets the previous potion couldn't catch, and from now on, if you use a potion without a target locked, it won't be consumed, so a mistimed tap no longer costs you a potion.
What it changes
- Auto-gathering by region — Pets bring back base materials from across Britannia, the dev note's direct fix for the daily “run the whole map to collect” fatigue players raised at the AMA.
- Grade & skills matter — Higher-grade pets with the right skills gather more, so capturing better pets pays off long-term.
Pets you'll be sending
- Baby Giant Bird — A capturable companion you can assign to gathering runs.
- Baby Banakro — Another captured pet eligible for expeditions once you've tamed it.
- Bubbly Flying Squirrel — The kind of small companion that earns its keep gathering while you play.
Escanor buff: Axe & Greatsword reworked
Netmarble confirms an upward adjustment after analyzing his real combat data.
Escanor was one of the most-raised heroes at the AMA, with many players feeling he lagged other offensive heroes in utility and output. After reviewing his actual combat data, Netmarble confirmed an upward adjustment in Version 1.6: the trigger conditions on his Axe and Greatsword skills are being loosened, their utility strengthened for a smoother, more intuitive feel, and his overall damage cap is being raised. Exact values land with the 1.6 patch notes.
What's being adjusted
- Axe & Greatsword skills — Looser trigger conditions and more utility on both weapon paths, plus a higher overall damage cap. See his current kit and Infernal Release mechanic in the full guide.
Every other AMA answer that matters
Quality-of-life, the Combined Attack rules, the roadmap: straight from Dev Note #14.
Quality of life & roadmap
- Per-weapon gear presets: July 15 — A new feature lets you save a separate gear setup per weapon type. Your whole armor configuration switches automatically when you swap weapons, instead of re-equipping each piece by hand. Targeted for the July 15 update.
- Knighthood boss & ranking: July — The guild (Knighthood) content arrives in July: a Knighthood boss fight and ranking, with rewards based on activity and contribution. More team-comp slots (long requested) ship alongside it (after server-side testing, so the exact timing comes in the patch notes).
- Hero reruns: from the half-anniversary — Netmarble is targeting a regular rerun schedule starting at the game's 6-month half-anniversary. Players specifically asked for the main elemental carries and the original-work favorites (Meliodas and Clotho were named), and the first rerun is teased as something “a little special.”
- Time Attack regular season — After two pre-seasons, the ranked Time Attack leaderboard tightens up for its regular season: skill use is restricted in the waiting room before a run (no more pre-stacking buffs), and new achievements reward you simply for setting a record, not only for placing high.
- More Star Fragments, more story — Netmarble is widening Star Fragment sources and raising the amount handed out by each update's events. The main quest grows from here, and from Version 2.0 the story moves to a brand-new region, plus a separate “highlights” mode to relive key scenes from the original work is in the works.
- Hawk Pass rework — From 1.6 the Hawk Pass contents are being re-examined, after free elite-monster reward cubes lowered the value of some of its items.
The platinum & crafting-material fix
How Netmarble is answering the platinum shortage from the AMA.
Demand for Platinum spiked once it became a crafting input for the Tailor's Stitching Needle and Engraver's Fabric Scissors, and players said supply couldn't keep up. The 1.6 answer is two-fold: the gathering and mining zones for platinum and other resources expand into the new regions arriving with the update, and the summer event zone itself is an extra source, yielding Platinum Ore, Sunstone Ore, Flower Petals of Pure Love and more.
On the engraved-gear reset complaints (where re-rolling can land worse stats despite the costly materials), Netmarble's near-term step is to hand out more Tailor's Stitching Needles and Engraver's Fabric Scissors through events, with a longer-term system improvement to follow.
The dates that matter
What's dated, and what's only timed to “late June” or “July”.
Mark these
- June 18–23: 100-Day push rewards — A login gift each day: 100 Star Fragments and 5 Platinum Ingots daily, plus Charm Potions. Claim from the in-game mailbox each day through June 23.
- Late June: Version 1.6 lands — The dev note places 1.6 right after the 100-Day push event (it follows June 23), but doesn't give an exact maintenance date in the note itself. We'll lock the date the moment the official patch schedule posts.
- Week 2 of 1.6: “Magi★Pop” — The multiplayer mini-game event opens in the second week of the update.
- July 15: per-weapon gear presets — The automatic armor-by-weapon swap feature is targeted for the July 15 update.
- July: Knighthood content — The Knighthood boss, ranking and extra team slots are targeted for July.
- 6-month half-anniversary: hero reruns begin — Netmarble's target for the start of a regular hero rerun cadence (Meliodas and Clotho named as wanted).

- Mannie's swimsuit is earned free by clearing the event story. Swimsuits for Merlin, Clotho and Mannie are also available through the costume draw, and the costume-draw system lets you obtain a costume even before you own the hero, then equip it when they return.
Sources & method
Every feature, name and date on this page comes from Netmarble's official Developer Notes #14 (June 18, 2026). Where the note uses its own labels (“Magi★Pop” and “Deluge”) we keep its exact wording; the lower Taranis difficulty the note previewed as “[Infernal]” ships as “[Hell]” at launch, so we use the live name; for established systems we use 7DS: Origin's standard English names (Pet Expedition, Star Fragments, Mystic Token, Sunstone Ore, Flower Petals of Pure Love, Knighthood, Black Rook). Timings flagged as “late June” or “July” are the note's own wording, not exact maintenance dates.
