TL;DR — 5 Steps
- Fast-travel to Ironheart 9th AvenueMiguel District. Same area as Prayers for Clear Skies — the two Maid commissions share a district.
- Find the frozen Maid statueA different house from Prayers for Clear Skies. Look for the property with an iced-over Rain-sweeping Maid frozen in front — she's clearly not animated, encased in pale ice.
- Attack the ice repeatedlyStrike the ice casing multiple times. Each hit cracks the surface — keep going until the ice shatters and the Maid emerges.
- Defeat the berserk MaidShe goes berserk on release. A Lv I boss fight with simple attack patterns — no element gate, no parry-only mechanic.
- Restore the weather, claim the payoutStandard Lv I rewards. Defeating her returns the weather around the house to normal — the flavour-resolution of the commission.
Breaking the Ice
- Open the world map and fast-travel to the Ironheart 9th Avenue phone booth in Miguel District.
- Walk into the residential block. Look for a house with an obvious cold/snow aesthetic — pale ice covering the front porch.
- Centre of the porch: a Rain-sweeping Maid completely frozen inside an ice casing. She's posed but inanimate.
- Approach the frozen statue and attack it with any basic combo. Each strike cracks the ice progressively.
- Keep attacking until the ice casing shatters completely.
- The Maid emerges in a berserk state — visible combat ring, hostile animation.
- Defeat the berserk Maid to clear the commission. The weather around the house returns to normal as the flavour resolution.
Boss: Rain-sweeping Maid (berserk form)
The angry version of the Maid you'd peaceful-resolve in Prayers for Clear Skies. Trapped in an ice prison, she emerges enraged and attacks on sight. A simple Lv I boss with no parry-only attacks and no enrage threshold — the encounter is built to teach the player that attacking a frozen anomaly statue is an option, not the only one. Compare to Prayers for Clear Skies for the version where you don't have to fight her at all.
Broom swing
DodgeTell: The Maid raises her broom over her head before bringing it down in a wide arc.
Single-target overhead. Easy dodge — long wind-up makes this a clear telegraph for first-time players.
Ice burst
DodgeTell: The Maid plants her broom in the ground; ice spikes radiate outward in a brief ring.
Short-range radial AoE. Step backward before the spikes resolve — no tight timing required.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls
- This is the COMBAT version of the Rain-sweeping Maid. The peaceful version is Prayers for Clear Skies — same NPC type, different house, different state.
- Don't skip the ice-breaking phase. The fight starts ONLY after the casing shatters. Walking up to the frozen statue and waiting does nothing.
- The two Rain-sweeping Maid commissions are in the same residential block in Miguel District. Run them back-to-back — total time is under five minutes for both.
- Lv I commission with no Arc reward. Run once for the commission slot and the achievement progress, then move on.
- Use this fight as practice for new players if you're co-op coaching — the Maid's two-attack kit and slow tells make her one of the cleanest boss tutorials in the game.
