Verdict
Jiwon is the launch Wind Supporter and the third corner of the strongest 1.0 composition (Esther + Jiwon + Bonnie). Her job has two halves: on-field she pulls enemies into a tight cluster with Sonic Wave (a free Airborne KB + crowd gather), and off-field her Melodic Blessings passive grants tiered Divine Harmony buffs to the active character when she swaps out.
The Melody system is the keystone. Attacking builds a Melody count (max 12); swapping out at 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 counts grants a corresponding tier of Divine Harmony to the team. C0 already auto-extends the buff via auto-BA after swap-out. C1 adds ATK% scaling per tier. C3 multiplies the Melody gain per skill (3 BA, 6 Special, 12 Ultimate). C5 turns Tier 4 into a +20% Special / Ultimate DMG buff with extended duration — endgame ceiling.
Pull her if you have ANY on-field Wind carry (Esther, Sangun) or any AoE carry that wants clustered targets. Her enabler value is universal — she boosts ATK for the entire team via Divine Harmony, not just Wind. Skip only if you already have a tuned Supporter (Bonnie, Francis) AND no Wind carry slot to fill.
Strengths
- Universal Supporter — Divine Harmony scales any active character's ATK, not just Wind teammates.
- Sonic Wave pull is the single best AoE setup in the game. Turns 5 scattered enemies into one cluster for AoE carries.
- Off-field auto-BA (C0+) extends Divine Harmony duration. Set-and-forget once you nail the swap timing.
- Wind Affliction on Ultimate stacks with any Wind teammate (Esther, Sangun) for a free debuff window.
- Functional as a pull tool even in mixed teams — her cluster utility doesn't care about element.
- Strongest launch S-tier comp partner — without her, Esther loses her best enabler.
Weaknesses
- Lowest personal DPS of the SSR roster — she enables, she doesn't carry.
- Loop requires swap timing — push her too early (low Melody count) and you waste the Divine Harmony tier.
- Special Skill cooldown 11.1s — moderate, but if you waste a pull on a single target the AoE value is gone.
- Hard-anchored to teams that have an on-field carry. Solo, she struggles to clear bosses fast.
- Tier 1 / Tier 2 Divine Harmony is small — the real value is at Tier 3 / Tier 4, which requires patient Melody-building.
- Melody Played on Heartstrings (signature) is banner-gated. Celestial Halo of Life is the strong generic alternative.
Best gear
Jiwon's recommended artifact + equipment set, with farmable alternates for F2P.
Alternates
- Celestial Halo of Life — SSR Supporter alternate if you don't have her signature — landing attacks grants team ATK. Generic but high baseline; pairs naturally with her on-field BA chains.
- Devourer Stance — SR Wind set, F2P bridge. 2pc +5% Wind DMG vs Wind-Afflicted, 4pc team Crit Rate on Support Skill — covers the team-buff angle until Abyss 4pc.
- Assault Squad Leader — SR generic set — +5% team ATK for 5s on Support Skill. Pure utility while Abyss / Celestial Halo are unfarmed.
Kit overview
Build Melody on-field → swap out at the right count → team gets Divine Harmony.
- SpecialSonic Wave
Pipa wave that gathers enemies into a tight cluster and knocks them Airborne. The single best AoE setup tool in the launch roster — drop the cluster, then swap to your AoE carry for the dump.
- Basic AttackStrings on the Wind
Ranged Wind notes on the enemy. Cheap, generates Melody count + Ultimate gauge. Maintain BA uptime — every Melody count brings the next Divine Harmony tier closer.
- PassiveMelodic Blessings
Attacks build Melody (max 12). At 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 counts, swapping OUT grants the team a tier of Divine Harmony. The Melody system IS her support — without it, she's just a pull tool.
- Tag-InLet Me Sing You A Song
Swap-in: Wind notes for AoE damage. As Tag-out, this is THE moment your Melody count converts into Divine Harmony for the team. Time it to maximize the tier you grant.
- UltimateEternal Melody
Big Wind AoE + inflicts Wind Affliction (DoT + -15% Wind RES). Use to top up Melody count fast (worth multiple BA's worth) or to apply Wind Affliction before swapping in your Wind carry.
Canto priority
C1 is the meaningful jump (ATK% added to Divine Harmony); C3 multiplies the Melody loop.
Canto value (in order)
- C1 — Promise of Dignified Conduct — Adds +2% ATK to Divine Harmony Tier 1 and +ATK% scaling on Tier 3. Her support value goes from utility to multiplicative. Biggest jump in her chart.
- C3 — Embrace the Dew, Capture the Light — Melody count per skill: 3 (BA), 6 (Special), 12 (Ultimate). One Ultimate = max-tier Divine Harmony. Transforms the rotation pace from slow to fast.
- C5 — I Shall Be Your Spring — Tier 4 Divine Harmony duration extended + adds +20% Special/Ultimate DMG. Endgame ceiling for dedicated support mains.
- C0 → playable — Fundamental Pipa Tuning already auto-extends Divine Harmony via auto-BA + grants 3 extra Melody on swap-out at 3+ count. Fully functional with zero Canto.
- C2 / C4 — flat statsticks — +2 skill levels each. Pickup between meaningful jumps.
How to play her — boss rotation
Four steps. Cycle around Melody count, not Special cooldown.
- 1. Open with Sonic Wave to cluster — Drop the pull on the enemy cluster (or boss + adds). Airborne KB freezes them in place — setup window for your carry.
- 2. Basic Attack to build Melody — Chain BA's to reach 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 Melody count. Each BA = 1 Melody (C3 = 3). Watch the count, don't waste BAs past your target tier.
- 3. Ultimate to top up + apply Wind Affliction — Eternal Melody adds Melody fast and inflicts Wind Affliction on the boss. Use it when you need to jump 2 tiers in one cast.
- 4. Swap-out at tier threshold — Tag-out (Let Me Sing You A Song) exactly AT 3 / 6 / 9 / 12 count to grant the corresponding Divine Harmony tier. Carry comes in with the ATK buff active — dump damage in that window.
Should you pull / invest?
Four answers for four player types.
Beginner / new player
High-value pull. Her Sonic Wave pull is the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade for any AoE-clearing player. Pair her with Esther and Bonnie for the strongest launch composition (per the team comp guide consensus).
F2P / low spend
Strong pull target precisely because her value is enabler, not personal damage — C0 already maximizes the role. Use the New Expedition guaranteed 5★ on her if you have any on-field carry to support. Celestial Halo of Life covers the signature artifact gap at ~90% efficiency.
Invested / dolphin
C1 first (ATK% added to Divine Harmony). C3 if she's your main support (Melody loop speed-up). Stop at C3; C5 ceiling only matters for the absolute deepest endgame Wind comp.
Endgame / theory-crafter
She is the launch universal Supporter ceiling. Stack ATK% substats (Divine Harmony multiplies team ATK%), Melody Played on Heartstrings for the team Vitality, Abyss 4pc for personal Wind DMG. Pair with the Esther / Jiwon / Bonnie launch S-tier comp for maximum value.
Teams featuring Jiwon
Jiwon scales any on-field carry. Below: launch S-tier comp first, then drop-in alternates.

EstherThe launch S-tier carry partner. Jiwon's Sonic Wave clusters enemies into Esther's Dust Cloud — the Esther + Jiwon + Bonnie trio is the strongest 1.0 composition.Wind · Slayer - 2
BonniePairs perfectly — Bonnie applies Resonance on top of Jiwon's Divine Harmony for compound multipliers. Pure Wind core unlocks every set bonus.Wind · Supporter (SR) - 3
SangunWind Brawler — second-best Wind carry. Jiwon's pull setups maximize his Tiger AoE strikes.Wind · Brawler - 4
FlareOff-element pairing — Jiwon's Divine Harmony team ATK buff still applies to Flare's Fire damage. Universal support, not Wind-locked.Fire · Destroyer - 5
GabiOff-element pairing. Pull setup feeds Gabi's AoE Special + Rock spawns — the Divine Harmony ATK buff multiplies Crushing Blow burst.Earth · Brawler

FAQ
- Is Jiwon worth pulling at launch?
- Yes. She is the launch Wind Supporter and the third corner of the strongest 1.0 composition (Esther + Jiwon + Bonnie). Her Divine Harmony buffs scale every carry's ATK and her Sonic Wave pull is the best AoE setup tool in the game. Use the New Expedition guaranteed 5★ on her if you have any on-field carry to support.
- What is Jiwon's best artifact?
- Melody Played on Heartstrings — her signature SSR Supporter artifact. Switch Skill grants Vitality to herself and teammates. Built around her tag-cycle role.
- What is Jiwon's best equipment set?
- Abyss (4-piece, SSR Wind). 2pc fires on every Sonic Wave (Special), 4pc maintains uptime through her BA crits. Same Wind-stacking shape as Esther uses.
- What is the strongest Jiwon team at launch?
- Esther + Jiwon + Bonnie. Jiwon clusters enemies into Esther's Dust Cloud, Bonnie applies Resonance on top of Jiwon's Divine Harmony. The strongest composition available at launch (community consensus).
- How do I play Jiwon in a boss fight?
- Open with Sonic Wave to cluster + Airborne KB. Basic Attack to build Melody count to 3 / 6 / 9 / 12. Ultimate (Eternal Melody) to jump 2 tiers and apply Wind Affliction. Swap-out (Tag-out) exactly AT the tier threshold to grant Divine Harmony to your carry.
- Which Canto should I prioritise for Jiwon?
- C1 first (ATK% added to Divine Harmony — biggest jump). Then C3 (Melody count per skill multiplies). C0 fully functional. Stop at C3 unless she's your dedicated endgame support.
- Can I play Jiwon F2P?
- Yes. C0 is functional. Abyss set is craftable; Devourer Stance SR is a real bridge. Without Melody Played on Heartstrings, use Celestial Halo of Life (generic Supporter SSR) at ~90% efficiency.
- Does Jiwon work in non-Wind teams?
- Yes — Divine Harmony grants team-wide ATK, not Wind-specific buffs. She enables Flare (Fire), Gabi (Earth), Ophelia (Ice) just as well. The Abyss set personal DMG is wasted in non-Wind comps, but her support value isn't.
- When should I swap out as Jiwon?
- At exactly 3, 6, 9, or 12 Melody count — those are the Divine Harmony tier thresholds. Swapping at 2, 4, 7 wastes the Melody-building. Watch the count, not the cooldown.
- Jiwon vs. Bonnie for first Supporter?
- Jiwon is the SSR with the bigger ceiling and the pull utility. Bonnie is the free SR Supporter with Resonance amplification. Best answer: run both. The Esther + Jiwon + Bonnie launch comp uses both Supporters for compound buffs.
