Reclaim Inspiration — Colorless Notes

No boss, no parries — just a five-area colour puzzle in a monochrome dream-world. Hit a fly, flip a traffic light, repaint a basketball, then a tree and lantern, and finally touch the Colorless Note on the phonograph table. Reward: Mind Royale, the Ultimate-Energy-regen Arc for Edgar and Mint.

TL;DR — 5 Steps

  1. Head east of Coastal Highway Z42Bridge Crossings district. Track the commission from your Anomagram and follow the map marker.
  2. Touch the Colorless NoteA floating note above the marked spot triggers the puzzle realm — the world drains to black and white.
  3. Restore colour in five areasEach area has one interactable that re-introduces its colour. Solving each unlocks the path to the next zone.
  4. Finish at the phonograph tableThe last Colorless Note sits on a table with a phonograph. Touching it nullifies the anomaly and ends the commission.
  5. Collect Mind RoyaleA-Rank Liquid Arc focused on Ultimate Energy generation. Most valuable on Edgar — drops directly to your inventory.

The Five-Area Puzzle

Area 1 — Fly

Hit the fly to splash colour across the area.

After the world drains to monochrome, look for the lone fly hovering near the spawn point. Strike it once with a basic attack — the surrounding scene fills with colour, and a set of stairs forms behind you. Walk up the stairs to reach Area 2.

Area 2 — Traffic Light

One interaction on the traffic light.

A black-and-white traffic light stands in the middle of the area. Interact with it once — do not spam, one touch is enough. Colour returns to the area and the path opens. Walk toward the next set of stairs, then to the small metal fence on the right.

Area 3 — Basketball Court

Change the green ball to orange.

The court hosts a basketball at its centre. The default colour is green; the puzzle wants orange. Cycle the colour via the interact prompt until the ball reads orange. Once it's correct, the fence opens toward the next zone.

Area 4 — Tree and Lantern

Tree pink, lantern red.

A tree and a lantern share this area. Each has its own colour interaction. Set the tree to pink and the lantern to red. Order does not matter; only the final pair of colours is checked. Wrong combinations don't punish you — keep cycling until it locks.

Area 5 — Phonograph Table (final)

Touch the Colorless Note on the table.

The final area opens into a small room with a table and a phonograph. A second Colorless Note rests on the table — interact with it. The anomaly is nullified, the commission closes, and Mind Royale is added to your Arc inventory.

A utility Arc, not a damage Arc. The value lives in keeping Ultimate uptime high on healers and supports — Edgar in particular runs his Ultimate as a constant rotation gate, so faster regeneration directly translates to more team buffs and shields. Skip if you only build damage carries.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls

  • There is no combat. Bring whoever you're levelling — character choice does not affect the puzzle outcome.
  • If you accidentally hit the fly multiple times or rapid-tap the traffic light, the puzzle does not reset. The first interaction registers; the rest are no-ops.
  • Mind Royale is available from two anomalies (this one and Plot Hole Repair Project in Miguel District). If you only need a single copy, pick whichever is closer to your current quest path — the Arc is identical from both sources.
  • On Edgar, refine to at least A2-A3 to push the Ultimate Energy generation high enough to noticeably accelerate his rotation. At A1 the gain is modest.
