Reaching the Park
- Open the world map and fast-travel to the easternmost phone booth in New Herland District.
- Use the Bigmouth Baozi restaurant signage as your visual anchor — it's a distinctive landmark in the area.
- Walk north-east of Flamingo Avenue into the surrounding residential block.
- Find a small open park between buildings — empty of NPCs, with a single seated figure at its centre.
- Approach the figure. It's a teddy bear wearing a tattered cloak and gripping a weapon — Saddy Teddy.

- Defeat Saddy Teddy to clear the commission, claim the Lost Armor drop and unlock the achievement.
Boss: Saddy Teddy
A cloaked teddy bear anomaly with a single weapon — abandoned toy fused with whatever sentient layer this game's anomaly fabric runs on. The fight is mechanically the simplest Lv III commission in the game: no parry-only attacks, no enrage threshold, no minion adds. Saddy Teddy just hits hard with a small kit and outlasts low-DPS rosters through raw HP. The flavour is the entire reward, alongside the unique Lost Armor drop.
Heavy weapon swing
DodgeTell: Saddy Teddy raises the weapon over its head and pauses for a half-beat.
Single-target overhead. Wide dodge window thanks to the visible wind-up. Don't try to parry — the weight of the swing eats parry attempts.
Ground stomp
DodgeTell: Both feet brace and the ground beneath flashes briefly.
Short-range AoE shockwave. Dodge outward radially before the flash resolves.
Cloak whirl
DodgeTell: Saddy Teddy spins on the spot, the cloak fanning outward in a wide circle.
Mid-range 360° hit. Move outside the cloak's arc — there's no inside-the-rotation safespot.

Pro Tips & Common Pitfalls
- A Sad Bear Cries Not is one of the few anomalies that drops unique gear (Lost Armor + Unextinguished Scale Armor). These are not lootable elsewhere — make this commission a priority if you collect cosmetic gear pieces.
- Saddy Teddy does NOT aggro until you walk into its territory radius. Use this to pre-position your camera and start the fight on your terms.
- The cloak whirl is the only attack that punishes back-pedaling. Treat it as a melee-only attack and dodge through it, not away from it.
- There was a recent maintenance fix for a bug where the commission could fail to trigger on arrival. If Saddy Teddy doesn't animate when you enter the park, log out and back in — most reports cleared the issue.
- No Arc drop here. Plan your weekly anomaly route to clear this commission once for the unique gear and achievement, then stop reclearing.
