Mina SSR
Fate-Touched Fox Maiden · Fire · Brawler
Ranged Fire Brawler built around stacks of Essence. Mina throws Foxfire Orbs, gathers Essence on hit, then dumps the stacks via Hold-BA Luminous Rush. Highest pure-DPS Fire ceiling at launch when paired with Flare for the stagger anchor.

Verdict
Mina is the launch Fire Brawler and the pure-damage half of the Fire core. Her loop runs on Essence stacks: she gains a stack from her Special Skill, her Basic Attack finisher, her Tag-In, and her Ultimate. Holding the Basic Attack button consumes Essence to unleash Luminous Rush — multi-hit Fire damage that's the single highest output she produces. Lose her Essence to attacks or wait too long and the stacks reset.
Her ceiling is gated by Flare. Mina is the dumper, not the anchor — she needs a Destroyer (Flare ideally) to break boss stagger so she can pour Luminous Rush into the open phase. Inflicting Charm on enemies who've lost Essence adds a debuff layer. C1 boosts Ultimate Gauge Charge by 10% and her Ultimate now grants 3 Essence directly. C3 doubles her Clone stat ratio (30% → 70%) and extends Clone duration by 5s — major endgame scaling.
Pull her if you have or plan to pull Flare. She is the strongest single-target Fire DPS at launch and the cleanest way to convert stagger windows into damage. Skip if you don't have a Fire stagger anchor — she still works solo but at half her ceiling.
Strengths
- Highest pure-DPS Fire ceiling at launch — Luminous Rush hits harder than any other Brawler's burst.
- Ranged carry — safer than melee Brawlers, holds DPS uptime against telegraphed bosses.
- Charm debuff on Essence loss adds crowd-control + damage amplification layer.
- Special Skill homing orb pulls enemies into a cluster — built-in AoE setup, no Supporter needed.
- Ultimate inflicts Fire Affliction → self-feeds Hahnul's Roar 4pc (+10% Crit DMG vs Fire-Afflicted).
- Clone summon scales as a sustained damage source — even off-field she contributes via Clone hits.
Weaknesses
- Stack-dependent — needs 1+ Essence for Hold-BA. The first ~3s of every fight are stack-building, not damage.
- Hard-anchored to a stagger anchor (Flare). Solo she lacks the broken-phase window for max Luminous Rush damage.
- Essence drops when she takes damage — she eats hits in long fights without a healer.
- Hard-anchored to Fire teams. Mixed-element costs Hahnul's Roar 4pc, Mountain Peak Majesty, Affliction stacking.
- Special Skill cooldown 8.4s — short but if you waste the homing orb on a single target the AoE value is gone.
- Blazing Kumiho (signature) is banner-gated. Frenzied Struggle generic works but loses the Kumiho Flame scaling.
Best gear
Mina's recommended artifact + equipment set, with farmable alternates for F2P.
Alternates
- Frenzied Struggle — SSR Brawler alternate if no signature — Crit DMG stacking on every landed attack. Generic but high baseline; loses the Kumiho Flame proc.
- Mountain Peak Majesty — SR Fire set, F2P bridge. 4pc +5% Fire DMG vs Fire-Afflicted enemies — pairs with her Ultimate's Affliction. Direct Hahnul's Roar replacement until you craft the SSR set.
- Moonshadow — SR Fire set with summon synergy (4pc +5% Fire DMG when minion summoned). Stacks with her Foxfire Clones — niche but strong if you have a Moonshadow craft in flight.
Kit overview
Five abilities. Essence is the keystone — every node either gains it, spends it, or scales with it.
- SpecialFoxfire Blast
Throws an enhanced Foxfire Orb that homes onto an enemy, pulls nearby enemies, then explodes for bonus Fire DMG. Gains 1 Essence on cast. Short cooldown — your bread-and-butter combo opener.
- Basic AttackFoxfire Orb
Ranged Fire orbs. Final attack of the chain inflicts AoE Fire + gains 1 Essence. With 1+ Essence stacked, Hold-BA triggers Luminous Rush — multi-hit Fire chain that's her single biggest damage source.
- PassiveEssence of Fire
Builds Essence on certain attacks. Inflicts Charm on enemies that just lost Essence (= when you Hold-BA to consume the stacks). Charm is a crowd-control + damage multiplier — Charmed targets take more damage.
- Tag-InSparkling Flourish
Swap-in: tail swing creates a vortex that pulls enemies + explodes, gaining 1 Essence. Doubles as her entry burst window — drop into the boss with 1 Essence already stacked.
- UltimateFoxfire Clone
Summons a Clone (which mirrors her attacks for sustained damage) and the two together throw a Foxfire Orb at the enemy. Inflicts Fire Affliction + gains 1 Essence. C3 jumps Clone stat ratio from 30% to 70% — major scaling.
Canto priority
C1 is the early jump; C3 is the endgame ceiling lever.
Canto value (in order)
- C3 — Foxfire Dance — Clone stat ratio jumps 30% → 70%, Clone duration +5s, Charm enhanced (decreases something). Single biggest jump in her chart — turns her Clone into a real sustained damage source.
- C1 — Spirit's Blessing — +10% Ultimate Gauge Charge + Ultimate grants 3 Essence on cast. Faster Ultimate uptime + auto-Essence means more Luminous Rush windows. Strong early pickup.
- C5 — Nine Tails — Luminous Rush DMG +50% and range +. Caps her endgame ceiling on the most important skill in her kit.
- C0 → playable — Threads of Souls already chains BA-after-Special directly to 4th-Hit + Ultimate summons one more Clone. Fully playable carry with zero Canto.
- C2 / C4 — flat statsticks — +2 skill levels each. Pickup between meaningful jumps.
How to play her — boss rotation
Five steps. Stack-aware rotation; the Hold-BA timing is the skill check.
- 1. Tag-In to enter with 1 Essence — Sparkling Flourish swap-in vortex pulls enemies + gives 1 Essence. Better entry than starting from 0 stacks.
- 2. Special Skill (Foxfire Blast) for the homing orb — Drops a homing orb that pulls + explodes. Gains 1 Essence. Short 8.4s CD — fire it on every cycle.
- 3. Basic Attack finisher to stack Essence — Land the 4th-Hit finisher to add 1 Essence. You want 3 Essence stacked before the big dump.
- 4. Hold-BA Luminous Rush on broken stagger window — This is the damage. Hold the BA button to consume Essence and fire the multi-hit Fire chain. Time it to the boss's broken phase (Flare's Tag-In just broke stagger).
- 5. Ultimate (Foxfire Clone) to extend + reset — Summons Clone + Fire Affliction + 1 more Essence. Clone keeps damage live for the next ~10s while you rebuild stacks for the next Luminous Rush.
Should you pull / invest?
Four answers for four player types.
Beginner / new player
Strong pull if you have or plan to pull Flare — together they're the launch S-tier Fire team. Solo Mina is workable but slower than a self-contained carry like Esther. Pair her with Bonnie + free SR Fire Slayer for a launch-week clear team.
F2P / low spend
Good pull target. C0 is functional, Hahnul's Roar set is craftable, Mountain Peak Majesty SR is a real bridge. The main paywall is the Blazing Kumiho artifact; without it, Frenzied Struggle covers the Brawler slot at ~85% efficiency.
Invested / dolphin
C1 first (faster Ultimate + auto-Essence). C3 second — this is the single highest endgame jump in her chart. Stop at C3 unless she's your dedicated endgame Fire main; C5 is pure scaling.
Endgame / theory-crafter
She is the launch Fire single-target ceiling when paired with Flare. Stack Crit DMG substats (Luminous Rush + Charm + Hahnul's Roar 4pc all compound with crits). Run the Flare + Mina + Francis/Bonnie comp for the highest Fire DPS combination at 1.0.

FAQ
- Is Mina worth pulling at launch?
- Yes if you have or plan to pull Flare. Mina is the launch Fire Brawler and the pure-damage half of the Fire core; pair her with Flare (stagger anchor) for the highest single-target Fire DPS at 1.0. Solo Mina works but at half her ceiling.
- What is Mina's best artifact?
- Blazing Kumiho — her signature SSR Brawler artifact. +12% Ultimate Gauge Charge + Kumiho Flame in rotation. Themed exactly to her fox maiden identity and faster Ultimate uptime is core to her loop.
- What is Mina's best equipment set?
- Hahnul's Roar (4-piece, SSR Fire). 2pc fires every Foxfire Clone Ultimate, 4pc self-feeds vs Fire-Afflicted (her Ultimate applies it). Shared with Flare — the Fire team economy scales.
- What is the strongest Mina team at launch?
- Flare + Mina + Francis/Bonnie. Flare anchors stagger, Mina dumps Luminous Rush in the broken phase, Francis/Bonnie sustains Essence-loss. The strongest Fire composition at 1.0.
- How do I play Mina in a boss fight?
- Tag-In with Sparkling Flourish to enter with 1 Essence. Special (Foxfire Blast) for the homing orb + 1 Essence. Basic Attack finisher for 1 more Essence (target: 3 stacks). Hold-BA Luminous Rush on the broken stagger window. Ultimate (Foxfire Clone) to extend with Clone + Fire Affliction. Repeat.
- Which Canto should I prioritise for Mina?
- C3 first (Clone stat ratio 30% → 70% + Charm enhanced — biggest endgame jump). C1 early (auto-Essence on Ultimate + faster gauge). C5 caps Luminous Rush. C0 fully playable.
- Can I play Mina F2P?
- Yes. C0 functional. Hahnul's Roar craftable; Mountain Peak Majesty SR bridge. Without Blazing Kumiho artifact use Frenzied Struggle (generic Brawler) at ~85% efficiency.
- Does Mina lose Essence when she takes damage?
- Yes — taking hits drops her Essence stacks. In long boss fights without a healer you'll waste Luminous Rush windows. Pair her with Francis or Bonnie for sustain, and dodge predictable AoEs.
- Mina vs. Flare for first Fire pull?
- Flare first if you don't have a Destroyer — she enables Mina (Mina needs the broken phase). If you already own a Destroyer, take Mina for the higher pure-DPS ceiling. Both is the launch S-tier Fire team.
- What is Charm and when does it proc?
- Charm is a crowd-control + damage amplification debuff that procs on enemies who've lost Essence — meaning when Mina's Hold-BA consumes her stacks. Charmed enemies take more damage, which compounds with the Luminous Rush burst.
