Mongil: Star Dive is one of the most F2P-friendly launch gachas of its generation. Two Supporter slots (Bonnie / Wind + Francis / Earth) are FREE at launch with craftable signature artifacts. The 12 SR characters cover every elemental role gap (Brawler / Slayer / Destroyer / Supporter), and 8 of them have craftable SR signature artifacts + craftable Mountain Peak / Frenzied White Wolf / Green Nightmare / Devourer Stance 4pc sets that compete with SSR set 4pcs at ~70-85% efficiency.
The F2P team-comp framework: every elemental core needs a Carry (Brawler / Slayer / Destroyer SR) + a Supporter (Bonnie / Francis / Daisy) + optionally a second carry slot. Wind teams use Bonnie + Sangun (if pulled) + Francis. Fire teams use Verna + Leeho + Francis with Angel as bench DPS. Earth teams use Ellie + Francis + Daisy. Ice teams use Cloud + Sera + Francis. - F2P Lightning core (Conquest tier 3+ requires C2) — Reina (SR Lightning Destroyer HP-scaling) + Benjamin (SR Lightning Slayer Nightmare Sprint) + Bonnie (FREE Wind Supporter) + Francis (FREE Earth healer). C2 Reina or C2 Benjamin recommended for endgame Conquest. Clears Avardan at recommended level. Spirit King 4pc SSR-gated — bridge with Ice Heart 2pc SR.
- F2P Fire core (Hahnul-capable, slow) — Verna (SR Fire Brawler simplest kit) + Leeho (SR Fire Slayer single-target burst) + Angel (SR Fire Slayer off-field auto-proc) + Francis (FREE Earth healer). Clears Hahnul slowly (~6-7 min fights). Mountain Peak Majesty 4pc craftable. Hardest F2P endgame ceiling.
- F2P Wind core (Bonnie carry partner) — Bonnie (FREE Wind Supporter) + any Wind carry (Sangun if banner-gated obtained, else off-element second carry via Verna / Reina / Cloud / Sera) + Francis (FREE Earth healer). The only F2P comp dependent on banner pulls for a second SR Wind carry slot.

Wind support is FREE at launch (Bonnie). The carry slot needs at least one Wind pull.
Best F2P Wind comp
Bonnie (Wind Supporter, FREE) + Sangun (Wind Brawler SSR, banner-gated) + Francis (Earth Supporter, FREE). The launch Wind F2P clear comp. Sangun requires a pickup banner clear — the only F2P Wind comp that needs a banner pull. Without Sangun, the F2P fallback is cross-element.
Cross-element fallback (no Sangun)
Bonnie (Wind Supporter, FREE) + any non-Wind SR carry (Verna Fire, Reina Lightning HP, Cloud Ice) + Francis. Loses elemental synergy (Wind teams compound via Bonnie Encore C2 + Devourer Stance 4pc) but provides a working F2P comp until you pull a Wind carry.
Best for Amon (level 30 Dark boss, weak Wind)

The hardest F2P endgame core. Clears Hahnul slowly. Requires Equipment ~Lv58+.
Best F2P Fire comp
Verna (Fire Brawler, simplest SR kit) + Leeho (Fire Slayer single-target burst) + Angel (Fire Slayer off-field amp) + Francis (FREE Earth healer). The only 4-character launch F2P core — Angel rotates in via off-field Wanted auto-procs while Verna or Leeho hold the field.
Best for Hahnul (level 60 Lightning endgame, weak Fire)

Cloud signature Dreaming Adventurer craftable, Sera signature Key for Locks craftable, Green Nightmare 4pc craftable. Easiest beginner-friendly F2P comp.
Best for Custos (level 30 Earth boss, weak Ice)
