Tristan SR
The Prince of Liones — the starter SR, three Burst-enabling kits.
Tristan is the SR protagonist of 7DS: Origin — son of Meliodas and Elizabeth, prince of Liones — and every account starts with him. Like a three-weapon hero he is three units in one slot: a Fire-Burst enabler on Dual Swords, an Ember-stacking Fire Attacker on Greatsword, or a Bleed Wind-Burst enabler on Sword. This guide reads every line of his in-game data so you know exactly which Tristan to bring.

Should you build Tristan?
Tristan is the free SR everyone owns, and he punches above his rarity as a Burst and Combined-Attack enabler. He is not a top damage carry — his personal numbers and combo base (241%) are SR-tier — but his real value is the team-wide Fire/Wind buffs baked into his passives and the Burst-Gauge generation on his skills. Dual Swords pushes a Fire team's Burst, Greatsword is his Ember-stacking solo-DPS option, and Sword is the Wind-Burst / Bleed enabler.
If you only invest in one path, pick by the team you run: Dual Swords for a Fire-Burst comp (its passive stacks +5% team Fire damage per Fire Burst, up to +25%), Sword for a Wind-Burst comp (its passive grants +15% team Wind damage), and Greatsword only when you specifically want him as an early-game Fire carry. As an SR he is cheap to ascend, which makes him an easy, accessible Burst battery before you have premium SSRs.
Bottom line: Tristan is worth building precisely because he is free and universal. He will not headline an endgame team, but he is one of the most accessible Burst/Combined-Attack enablers in the game.
Strengths
- Free SR — every account owns him, and he is cheap to ascend.
- Three full kits in one hero — Dual Swords (Fire Buster), Greatsword (Fire Attacker), Sword (Wind Buster).
- Dual Swords passive Vigorous Spirit: +5% team Fire damage per Fire Burst (max +25%).
- Sword passive Heightened Spirit: +15% team Wind damage for 30 sec on Wind Burst.
- Both Buster paths spike Burst Gauge by 200 when the enemy is debuffed (Fire Resistance down / Bleeding).
- Greatsword stacks Ember (+Normal Skill and +Ultimate damage) and ramps its own Crit Chance.
Weaknesses
- SR rarity — lower base stats and a low 241% Combined-Attack base; not an endgame damage carry.
- His team value is element-locked: the Fire passive only helps Fire teams, the Wind passive only Wind teams.
- Greatsword's Ember payoff is consumed by Punisher and the Ultimate, so it needs a clean rotation.
- Building all three paths is rarely worth it on an SR — pick the one that matches your main team.
- His combined-attack data ships no team-bonus text — he amplifies via passives, not a combo debuff.
Weapon paths
Tristan swaps the entire kit with the weapon you equip. Pick the path that matches the team you are building.
Dual Swords
A Fire-Burst enabler: shreds Fire Resistance, spikes Burst Gauge and buffs the whole Fire team.
- Dual Inferno Slash: −10% enemy Fire Resistance for 30 sec.
- Vertical Slice: 200%, and +200 Burst Gauge if the enemy's Fire Resistance is down.
- Ultimate Rain of Fire: +30% Fire Burst Efficiency for 20 sec, then 241%.
- Passive Vigorous Spirit: +5% team Fire damage per ally Fire Burst (max 5 stacks).
Greatsword
His solo-DPS path: an Ember-stacking Fire Attacker with a chargeable Ultimate.
- Infinite Fire Slash: a stance that has a 50% chance to grant Ember per hit (max 10).
- Ember: +2% Normal Skill damage and +3% Ultimate damage per stack.
- Ultimate Severing Cut: 405% / 435% / 467% by charge level, then consumes Ember.
- Passive Sense of Justice: +1% Crit Chance per Special Attack hit (max 20).
Sword
A Wind-Burst enabler built on Bleed: anti-heal pressure plus a team Wind-damage buff.
- Storm Sword: applies Bleed — Wind DoT and −20% Healing Efficiency (more on crits).
- Wind Thrust: 173%, and +200 Burst Gauge if the enemy is Bleeding.
- Ultimate Blade Storm: +30% Wind Burst Efficiency for 20 sec, then 263%.
- Passive Heightened Spirit: +15% team Wind damage for 30 sec on Wind Burst.
Dual Swords — the Fire-Burst enabler
The most universal path on a Fire team: resistance shred, Burst-Gauge generation and a team Fire buff.
Dual Swords turns Tristan into a Fire-team accelerant. Dual Inferno Slash strips 10% Fire Resistance for 30 seconds, and Vertical Slice not only hits for 200% but, against a Fire-Resistance-reduced target, instantly grants +200 Burst Gauge — so his own debuff feeds the team's Burst meter. His Ultimate, Rain of Fire, raises his Fire Burst Efficiency by 30% before the hit.
The glue is the passive Vigorous Spirit: every time any allied hero activates a Fire Burst, all allies gain +5% Fire damage for 30 seconds, stacking up to five times (+25%). On a dedicated Fire-Burst composition that is a large, cheap team multiplier from a free unit — which is exactly why Tristan stays relevant well past the early game on Fire teams.
Dual Swords skill breakdown (from in-game data)
- NormalDual Flame Slash
Standard Fire combo between skill casts.
- FirstDual Inferno Slash
91%; −10% enemy Fire Resistance for 30 sec.
- SecondVertical Slice
200%; +200 Burst Gauge if the enemy's Fire Resistance is reduced.
- TagBurning Blow
Tag-in hit when you swap Tristan into the fight.
- UltimateRain of Fire
+30% Fire Burst Efficiency for 20 sec, then 241%.
- PassiveVigorous Spirit
Ally Fire Burst → all allies +5% Fire damage for 30 sec (max 5 stacks).
Greatsword — the Ember Fire carry
His only true Attacker path: a solo-DPS option that ramps Ember and a chargeable Ultimate.
Greatsword is the path to pick when you want Tristan to deal the damage himself. Infinite Fire Slash is a stance that ticks AoE damage and has a 50% chance to grant an Ember stack per hit (up to 10); each Ember adds +2% Normal Skill damage and +3% Ultimate damage. Punisher spends Ember for a 275% hit, and the Ultimate, Severing Cut, scales by charge level (405% / 435% / 467%) before consuming Ember.
The passive Sense of Justice rewards sustained pressure: every Special Attack hit adds +1% Crit Chance for 10 seconds, up to +20%. It is a serviceable early-game Fire carry on an SR budget — strong enough to clear content while you build toward premium SSR attackers, but it will not headline an endgame team.
Greatsword skill breakdown (from in-game data)
- NormalFlame Sword
Standard Fire combo.
- FirstInfinite Fire Slash
AoE stance; 50% chance to grant 1 Ember per hit (max 10). Final strike 81%.
- SecondPunisher
275%, then removes Ember from self.
- TagSurprise Attack
Tag-in hit.
- UltimateSevering Cut
405% / 435% / 467% by charge level, then removes Ember.
- PassiveSense of Justice
+1% Crit Chance per Special Attack hit for 10 sec (max 20).
Sword — the Bleed Wind-Burst enabler
The Wind-team equivalent of Dual Swords: Bleed anti-heal pressure plus a team Wind buff.
Sword mirrors the Dual Swords role for Wind teams. Storm Sword applies Bleed, a Wind damage-over-time that also cuts Healing Efficiency by 20% (and more on critical hits) — strong anti-heal pressure against sustain-heavy enemies. Wind Thrust hits for 173% and, like the Fire path, spikes +200 Burst Gauge when the target is Bleeding, so his debuff again fuels the team's Burst meter.
His Ultimate, Blade Storm, raises Wind Burst Efficiency by 30% before the hit, and the passive Heightened Spirit grants the whole team +15% Wind damage for 30 seconds whenever he activates a Wind Burst. On a Wind-Burst composition that is the same cheap, accessible team multiplier the Fire path provides — pick whichever element your main team runs.
Sword skill breakdown (from in-game data)
- NormalWind Sword
Standard Wind combo.
- FirstStorm Sword
103%; applies Bleed (Wind DoT, −20% Healing Efficiency, more on crit; max 10).
- SecondWind Thrust
173%; +200 Burst Gauge if the enemy is Bleeding.
- TagWind Strike
Tag-in hit.
- UltimateBlade Storm
+30% Wind Burst Efficiency for 20 sec, then 263%.
- PassiveHeightened Spirit
Wind Burst → all allies +15% Wind damage for 30 sec.
Potential priority
Each path has its own Potential track unlocked with Tristan's Potential Points (Exchange Shop, server-capped).
The pattern matches every hero: odd levels (1, 3, 8) are flat Attack / Defense / Max HP — smaller values here because Tristan is an SR — and even levels are the meaningful skill amplifiers. Prioritise reaching the amp levels.
What the amp levels actually do (per data)
- Dual Swords — Lv2 Normal +20%, Lv4 Special Attack +35%, Lv5 +85% Attack hit on Fire Burst, Lv6 Normal Skill +30%, Lv9 Ultimate +30%, Lv10 Fire Burst grants all allies +15% Fire damage.
- Greatsword — Lv2 Normal Skill +15%, Lv4 Special Attack +30% and final strike +40%, Lv6 Normal Skill +25%, Lv7 +100% Ember chance and a pull, Lv9 Ultimate +20/30/40% by charge, Lv10 AoE damage every 5 Special Attack hits.
- Sword — Lv2 Tag +25%, Lv4 Special Attack +35%, Lv5 +200 Burst Gauge on Special Attack, Lv6 Normal Skill +30%, Lv7 Normal Skill becomes 2-charge, Lv9 Ultimate +30%, Lv10 Ultimate final strike +150%.
Weapon and gear direction
Tristan's compatible grade-5 weapons and what their passives reward.
Tristan's compatible grade-5 weapons with passives are limited, so the universal pick is Black Flame Wings (activating a Burst → +28% Attack and +6% Crit Chance for 10 sec), available on Dual Swords, Greatsword and Sword. Note the Gluttonous Soul Longsword grants Darkness damage — off-element for his Fire/Wind paths, so prefer Black Flame Wings or a crit-focused grade-4. On an SR you will often run him with grade-4 budget options (Crimson Flame, Jet-black) since his value is utility, not raw weapon scaling.
Notable compatible weapons (data-listed)
- Black Flame Wings (g5) — Activating a Burst → +28% Attack and +6% Crit Chance for 10 sec. Available on Dual Swords, Greatsword and Sword.
- Crimson Flame (g4) — Activating a Burst → +28% Attack for 10 sec — a strong, accessible option on every path.
- Jet-black (g4) — Using the Ultimate Move → 20% chance of +50% Crit Chance for 7 sec; good on the Greatsword carry.
- Gluttonous Soul Longsword (g5) — Each Normal Skill use → +9% Darkness damage (max 18%). Off-element for Fire/Wind Tristan — avoid in favour of Black Flame Wings.
Costumes
Tristan ships with the default Little Prince costume plus grade-3 skins (Cos Body, Formal Attire) and three grade-5 skins in the data: Royal Dignity, Prince's Adventure and Prince's Vow.
Best teammates
Tristan's own Combined-Attack base is low (241%) — he is an SR enabler, not the carry the combo is built around. The numbers below are each partner's Combined-Attack damage as listed in his data; pair him with a high-payload carry whose Burst his passives can amplify.

FAQ
- Which Tristan weapon should I build first?
- Match it to your main team. Dual Swords for a Fire-Burst team (its passive stacks +5% team Fire damage per Fire Burst, up to +25%), Sword for a Wind-Burst team (+15% team Wind damage on Wind Burst), and Greatsword only if you want him as an early-game Fire damage carry.
- Is Tristan worth building as an SR?
- Yes, because he is free, universal and cheap to ascend. He will not headline an endgame team, but his passive Fire/Wind team buffs and Burst-Gauge generation make him one of the most accessible Burst enablers in the game while you build toward premium SSRs.
- What does the Bleed debuff do on the Sword path?
- Storm Sword's Bleed deals Wind damage over time and lowers the target's Healing Efficiency by 20% (and a further 6% on critical hits, stacking). It is strong anti-heal pressure, and Wind Thrust spikes +200 Burst Gauge against Bleeding enemies.
- Who is Tristan's best Combined-Attack partner?
- By the damage values in his data, Drake (461%) is the highest, followed by Meliodas (449%) and King (433%). His own base combo hit is only 241% — Tristan is the enabler, so build the combo around a high-payload carry.
- What does his world passive do?
- Novice Adventurer restores 50% of Max HP when he is revived. It is a survival safety net, not an offensive buff — it does not change his damage.
