The short version

Should you build Guila?

Guila is a flexible Fire specialist whose three weapons cover three different jobs. Lance is a self-buffing crit Attacker built around her Demon Form transformation. Sword & Shield is a genuine Warden — a damage-reduction tank that hands the whole team a barrier and, while that barrier is up, a flat +30% Fire damage. Rapier is a Burn / Burst-gauge Buster that stacks Defense-shredding Burn and feeds the team's Burst meter.

If you only invest in one path, pick by what your Fire team lacks: Lance for a standalone crit carry, Sword & Shield for a tank that doubles as a +30% Fire-damage team buff, or Rapier for a Burn-stacking Burst enabler. Lance and Rapier both ride the 30-second Demon Form window, so they reward planning your burst around its cooldown.

Bottom line: Guila is worth building, and the Sword & Shield path in particular is a high-value Warden for any Fire composition. Pick the path that fixes a hole in your roster — a Fire carry, a Fire-buffing tank, or a Burn Buster.

Lance — the Demon-Form crit carry

The standalone DPS path: a self-buffing crit Attacker that snowballs inside Demon Form.

The Lance identity is Demon Form. Her Ultimate is the transformation itself — a 30-second window (on a 40-second cooldown) in which the Demon-Form variants of every skill replace the base ones. The passive Blazing Devil builds Impulse on every attack, up to 10 stacks; while in Demon Form each Impulse grants +3% Crit Chance (a potential +30%), and at max stacks the Normal Skill cooldown drops by 1 second whenever you hit a Fire-Burst target.

Inside the window Flame Cannon and Shot Bombs hit harder and gain extra effects — Flame Cannon halves the Normal Skill cooldown on a crit, Shot Bombs adds +30% damage to Fire-Burst targets. The path is all about entering Demon Form with Impulse banked, then dumping an accelerated rotation before the timer ends. Plan your burst around the 40-second Demon Form cooldown.

Not a solo carry. A damage-reduction tank that doubles as a flat +30% Fire-damage team buff.

Sword & Shield turns Guila into a Fire-team anchor. The passive Burning Protection is the headline: while a barrier she applied to herself is active, all allied heroes deal +30% Fire damage. Ground Ignition keeps that condition up by granting the entire team a Barrier worth 20% of Max HP for 20 seconds, so she protects and amplifies the team at once.

She is also a real tank: Flame Rampart is a stance that cuts damage taken by 65%, Taunts nearby enemies and reflects 45% of Attack when hit, and her Ultimate, Radiant Explosion, raises Fire damage taken by enemies in range by 20%. Personal damage is low — this path is built to be slotted into any Fire composition as a survivable +30% Fire multiplier.

Rapier — the Burn / Burst Buster

A Burn-stacking Buster: shreds Defense over time and accelerates the team's Burst meter.

Rapier is built on Burn. Blazing Burst applies up to five Burn stacks — a Fire damage-over-time that also lowers the target's Defense each time it ticks (up to 100 times), so a long fight melts enemy Defense. Blazing Thrust spikes +150 Burst Gauge against Burned targets, and the passive Prominence adds +30 Burst Gauge whenever a Normal Attack hits a Burned enemy and converts her Fire Bursts into 2 Burn stacks.

Like the Lance, the Rapier Ultimate is Demon Form (30 seconds, 40-second cooldown); inside it her damage scales with the enemy's accumulated Burn Defense-reduction stacks. It is a Buster that softens targets and feeds Burst for a Fire team while ramping its own damage off the Burn it stacks.

Across all three paths the pattern is the same: odd levels (1, 3, 8) are flat Attack / Defense / Max HP, while even levels are the meaningful skill amplifiers — and several Lance/Rapier potentials scale specifically inside Demon Form. Prioritise reaching the amp levels.

Guila's compatible grade-5 weapons and what their passives reward.

The universal pick is Black Flame Wings (activating a Burst → +28% Attack and +6% Crit Chance for 10 sec), available on Lance, Rapier and Sword & Shield — strong on the Lance/Rapier carries that already crit hard in Demon Form. Note the Gluttonous Soul Rapier's Wind Burst Efficiency and Gluttonous Soul Sword and Shield's Earth damage are off-element for a Fire hero (only their generic stat halves help); prefer Black Flame Wings, or a crit-focused grade-4. On the support Shield path, raw-damage weapons matter less than her team Fire buff.
