Overview

Sector 2 — Double Boss

Essential

Sector 2 of the Timespace Junction is a solo fight against two bosses simultaneously: the Red Demon (a lesser demon) and the Gray Demon (a superior-rank demon). The goal: manage both targets, exploit the stun windows, and kill both demons simultaneously to avoid the fatal defense buff.

This content is intended for players who have cleared the Abyss and have their characters fully maxed out. The recommended BP is 74,989.
Both demons are weak to Holy and Ice. Escanor, King, and Jericho perfectly exploit these affinities — Season 1 also grants them +20% ATK, Defense Break, and Penetration across all Sectors.

Stats — Timespace Junction · Sector 2

These stats are the Junction-specific versions of both demons — different from World Bosses. Calculated at maximum content power level.

Manie is essential in all compositions — she boosts team ATK and recharges magic gauges. Without her, DPS windows are far less effective.
King's AoE is the key to the optimal composition: his attacks hit both demons simultaneously, making kill order easier and enabling sub-2:30 clears.

Combat Mechanics

Don't get hit by the Red Demon

Essential

The most critical mechanic in the fight: every time the Red Demon hits you, it gains +5% ATK. This buff is shared between both demons and stacks with no cap. At 10 hits taken, damage becomes uncontrollable.

Every hit taken = +5% ATK permanent on both demons
This buff has no cap and cannot be removed. A team that tanks passively will quickly be overwhelmed by incoming damage, making survival impossible.
Always dodge charged attacks
Charged attacks (red flash) are the most dangerous. Every hit avoided means one fewer stack on both demons — prioritize dodging over DPS.
Stay in motion between burst windows
Never stand still. Between DPS phases, keep dodging and moving to minimize hits taken.
Not getting hit is the top priority. Before optimizing DPS, master dodging the Red Demon. A clean run with no stacks is always more effective than a max DPS run with 15 stacks on the bosses.
Key takeaway
Dodge every charged attack from the Red Demon — each hit gives it +5% ATK shared on both bosses, with no cap or expiration.

Stay at the center — Gray Demon returns

Essential

The Gray Demon has a specific behavior: it constantly returns to the center of the map. Don't push it to the edges — it's always accessible from the center. AoE attacks (Escanor, King) work best when both targets are grouped together.

Combat zone: the center of the map
Both demons naturally converge toward the center. Position your team in the middle to maximize AoE hits and avoid unnecessary repositioning.
Gray Demon — ~1M less HP than Red Demon
The Gray Demon has significantly less HP. It will die first if you DPS both indiscriminately — which risks triggering the +60% DEF buff on the Red Demon.
Key takeaway
Fight at the center, AoE both targets at once — don't chase the Gray Demon to the edges of the map.

Simultaneous kill — Avoid +60% DEF

Essential

If one demon dies first, the survivor immediately gains +60% Defense. At that point your damage becomes insufficient to finish in time. The goal is to kill them in the same burst window, or within a few seconds of each other at most.

Priority 1
Gray Demon
~1M less HP · returns to center · weak to freeze
Ideal: simultaneous
Both together
Escanor/King AoE hits both · avoids +60% DEF on survivor
Priority 2
Red Demon
Stunnable alone · easier without Gray · ~25 sec stun window
King is ideal for the simultaneous kill thanks to his AoE attacks that hit both demons at the same time. Escanor can also achieve this with his zone attacks positioned between both targets.
If you see the Gray Demon drop below 20% HP while Red is still at 50%+, stop DPS on Gray and focus Red to balance HP before the final burst.
Key takeaway
Balance both bosses' HP throughout the fight. Simultaneous kill is the top priority — avoid the +60% DEF buff at all costs.

Red Demon stun window — ~25 seconds (random)

Essential

The Red Demon can be stunned during a specific window that appears at a random timing of approximately 25 seconds. This window is your main burst DPS opportunity with no counter-attack risk.

Watch for the stun signal (glow or animation change)
The Red Demon emits a visual signal before its stun phase. Watch for the animation change — that's your cue to switch to your stun character.
Switch to your stun character
The switch skill automatically triggers the stun if you swap characters during the window. Have your stun character ready in advance.
Stun duration: several seconds of free DPS
During the stun, the Red Demon cannot attack. This is your maximum burst window — unleash everything you have, with Manie charged first.
Key takeaway
The stun window is your best DPS opportunity. Have your stun character and Manie fully charged before it appears.

Escanor burn stacks — 5 × +30%

Advanced

Escanor can build up burn stacks on bosses. Each stack adds +30% damageto his attacks. At 5 stacks, that's +150% total damage at peak DPS.

Build stacks before each burst window
Apply burn stacks at the start of the fight or between DPS windows. Enter each burst with maximum stacks active on both demons.
Apply to both demons simultaneously
If both demons are close together at the center, you can apply stacks to both at once. Maximize fire DoTs on both targets to facilitate the simultaneous kill.
Synergy with Manie and Daisy
Coordinate Escanor's stacks with Manie's buff (+ATK) and Daisy's burst (crit resist reduction). All three at peak creates the strongest burst available in this content.
At 5 stacks, Escanor's Ultimate during the stun window with Manie fully charged is the strongest burst available in Sector 2.

Visual Signals

Reading both demons' indicators

Essential

Both demons emit distinct visual signals. Identifying them quickly is the core skill for dodging, stunning, and managing the kill order.

Blue Glow
Red Demon stun window
→ Switch → use switch skill
Fire Attack
Red Demon charge (+5% ATK if hit)
→ Dodge!
Bombardment
Wide AoE from both demons
→ Dodge the zone
Gray Demon flies
Drains life from nearby characters
→ Back away · Let Tior heal
The blue glowis the most important signal in the fight. It's your only real stun window on the Red Demon — missing it denies your team its best burst window of the cycle.
Fire Attack: never tank passively. Each hit adds an irreversible +5% ATK stack on both demons. A run with 10 accumulated stacks becomes uncontrollable.

Kill Order

Kill strategy — Simultaneous or Gray first

Essential

Kill order is the trickiest aspect of Sector 2. A mistimed kill triggers +60% DEF on the survivor, making a timed victory impossible. Here is the decision hierarchy.

Priority 1
Gray Demon
~1M less HP · returns to center · weak to freeze
Ideal: simultaneous
Both together
Escanor/King AoE hits both · avoids +60% DEF on survivor
Priority 2
Red Demon
Stunnable alone · easier without Gray · ~25 sec stun window
Watch HP bars continuously
Monitor both demons' HP throughout the fight. If the gap exceeds 15–20% HP, stop DPS on the lower demon and switch focus to the other to rebalance.
Freeze the Gray Demon to rebalance with Jericho
Jericho can freeze the Gray Demon (weak to ice) to temporarily pause its HP and let Red catch up. This is the most precise balancing tool available in the King/Jericho composition.
Save AoE for the final burst
Hold King's or Escanor's Ultimate for the final kill. An AoE centered between both demons deals damage to both simultaneously — the most reliable method for a clean simultaneous kill.
King + Jericho composition: King AoE + Jericho freeze = near-guaranteed simultaneous kill. This is why this composition is considered optimal for sub-2:30.
Key takeaway
Balance HP, save your AoE for the final burst, freeze Gray with Jericho if needed — simultaneous kill avoids +60% DEF and saves your run.

Combat Rotation

Optimal sequence — standard Escanor

Advanced
  1. Manie
Manie — Open with Manie. Apply the ATK buff to the team and recharge the magic gauge before the DPS window. Essential in all compositions.
  2. Escanor
Escanor — Build burn stacks — Stack burn on Escanor. Each stack adds +30% damage. Aim for 5 stacks before your main burst to reach +150% total damage.
  3. Escanor
Escanor — Active dodge — Alternate fire attacks with dodges to avoid Red Demon hits. Not being touched is critical: each hit gives him +5% ATK shared on both demons, with no cap.
  4. Daisy
Daisy — Stun window — The stun window lasts ~25 seconds (random timing). When the signal appears, switch to Daisy for the burst or to your stun character to immobilize the Red Demon.
  5. Manie
Manie — Recharge during stun — Use the stun window to recharge Manie's gauge. A fully charged buffer at the next burst window multiplies your DPS effectiveness.
  6. Escanor
Escanor Alt — Grouped burst — If both demons are grouped at the center, use Escanor's Ultimate to hit both simultaneously. This is the ideal window to balance HP and set up the simultaneous kill.
  7. Tior
Tior — Heals between phases — Slip Tior's heals between DPS phases. Never use her during a burst window — every second on Tior costs Escanor/King damage.
For King:replace Tior with Jericho in the rotation. Coordinate Jericho's freeze with King's burst to maximize damage on the Gray Demon during the vulnerability window.
Food buffs: Prioritize critical damage or ATK bonuses for both main DPS. Both demons share similar resistances — maximize general stats.

F2P Options & Alternatives

Playing without Daisy or King

Essential
F2P Friendly

Daisy and King are not required. Escanor + Manie + Tior + Slader can complete Sector 2 with good kill order management and dodging.

Escanor vs King — Which to choose?

Escanor
Escanor — F2P Option
  • Effective fire DoT on both demons
  • 5 burn stacks = +150% damage
  • Enough AoE to aim for simultaneous kill
  • More accessible (no ice/freeze management)
King
King — Optimal Option
  • Natural AoE hits both demons
  • Synergizes perfectly with Jericho (freeze)
  • Sub-2:30 achievable with good coordination
  • Requires Jericho + Manie for full potential
Slader as F2P option: he charges his gauge, provides a shield, and can contribute to the stun at the blue glow window. He advantageously replaces Daisy in a limited roster, though less optimal.
Diane (shield):if you're taking too many hits from the Red Demon and ATK stacks are accumulating, Diane can provide an emergency shield. However, solving the dodge issue takes priority over adding a shield character.

Tips & Mistakes to Avoid

Essential tips

Getting started
Dodge every charged attack from the Red Demon. Rule number one. The +5% ATK stacks have no cap — a run with 10 hits taken quickly becomes uncontrollable.
Fight at the center of the map. Both demons converge toward the center. Stay in the middle to maximize AoE hits and make the simultaneous kill easier.
Watch HP bars constantly. As soon as the gap exceeds 15–20%, stop DPS on the lower demon and catch up the other. Simultaneous kill is your absolute top priority.
Have Manie ready before each burst window. A fully charged Manie at stun time multiplies the effectiveness of your DPS window.
Maximizing performance
King AoE = natural simultaneous kill. King's attacks hit both demons at the center by default — that's why he's the optimal sub-2:30 composition.
5 Escanor stacks before the stun window. Enter each burst window with 5 active burn stacks. 5 stacks + Manie + Daisy = maximum burst of this content.
Jericho freeze as a balancing tool. If the Gray Demon drops too fast, temporarily freezing its HP with Jericho lets Red catch up without losing overall DPS.
Save Ultimate for the final kill. Don't waste King's or Escanor's Ultimate mid-fight — hold it for the final burst synchronized with both demons dying.

Common mistakes

Killing one demon before the other
The worst mistake in Sector 2. Letting one demon die alone triggers +60% DEF on the other — your DPS becomes insufficient to finish in time.
Tanking Red Demon attacks
Each un-dodged hit = +5% ATK permanent on both demons. This is irreversible. 10–15 stacks make a 3-star clear nearly impossible.
Missing the stun window
The blue glow is the best burst window of the cycle. Missing it denies your team its best damage — and a fully charged Manie with no burst to fire is wasted potential.
Attempting this content too early
Without BP 74,989 and fully maxed characters, damage is insufficient to hit 3-star thresholds (<3:30).
