The short version

Should you build Elaine?

Elaine is a flexible support-leaning hero whose three weapons cover three jobs. Wand is the only true carry — a Wind Attacker that crits hard and shreds its own cooldowns. Staff is an element-agnostic Buster: it raises allies' Burst Efficiency, lowers enemy Burst Resistance and reduces team damage taken, which makes it useful in almost any composition. Book is an Earth-team Warden — barriers, a Petrify Ultimate and Earth-damage amplification.

If you only invest in one path, Staff has the broadest value because its buffs are All-Elemental, not locked to one element — it slots into any Burst-focused team. Wand is the pick when you want her as a self-sufficient Wind crit carry. Book is the specialist Warden for dedicated Earth teams that want barriers plus a hard crowd-control Ultimate.

Bottom line: Elaine is worth building, and the Staff path in particular is a near-universal Burst enabler. Pick the path that fixes a hole in your roster — a Wind carry, an all-element Buster, or an Earth Warden.

  • Staff pathAll-element BusterNear-universal Burst enabler.
  • Book pathEarth WardenBarriers + Petrify control.

Strengths

  • Three full kits in one hero — Wand (Wind Attacker), Staff (Holy Buster), Book (Earth Warden).
  • Staff buffs are All-Elemental: +30% allies' Burst Efficiency and −25% enemy Burst Resistance work for any team.
  • Staff Ultimate Forest's Blessing also cuts allies' damage taken by 15% for 20 sec.
  • Wand snowballs its own cooldowns — Whirlwind Veil and the Ultimate slash the Normal Skill cooldown by up to 15 sec.
  • Book Ultimate Dust Seal Petrifies for 6 sec and makes the target take +50% Physical/Earth damage.
  • Strong, widely-used Combined-Attack partner (her own combo base is 402%).

Weaknesses

  • Building all three paths is expensive — most accounts realistically commit to one.
  • Only the Wand path deals meaningful personal damage; Staff and Book are support roles.
  • Wand wants a Wind-Burst target to trigger its big +33% Crit Chance passive.
  • Book's value is element-locked — its damage amp and resistance shred only help Earth teams.
  • Her combined-attack data ships no team-bonus text — she contributes combo damage, not a combo debuff.

  • Razorwind: each Critical Hit grants +20% Crit Damage for 5 sec (max 3).
  • Passive Saintess's Judgment: +33% Crit Chance for 5 sec when hitting a Wind-Burst target.

  • Staff
  • Holy
  • Buster

An element-agnostic Burst enabler — works in almost any composition.

Path 1 · Wind · Attacker

Wand — the cooldown-snowballing Wind carry

Her only true Attacker path: a Wind crit carry that accelerates its own rotation.

The Wand identity is cooldown acceleration around a crit core. Whirlwind Veil is a channel that ticks damage and shaves 3 seconds off the Normal Skill cooldown per hit, the Normal Attack's final strike trims another second, and the Ultimate, Wind Blast, slashes a full 15 seconds off it. Razorwind stacks +20% Crit Damage per critical hit (up to three), so a sustained crit rotation ramps her damage fast.

The passive Saintess's Judgment ties it to Wind-Burst play: every attack on a Wind-Burst target grants +33% Crit Chance for 5 seconds, which feeds Razorwind's crit-stacking loop. It is a self-sufficient carry that wants a Wind-Burst enabler on the team to keep the passive firing — pair it with a Wind Buster.

Path 2 · Holy · Buster

Staff — the all-element Burst enabler

Not a solo carry. An element-agnostic Buster that works in almost any team.

Staff is Elaine's most universal path because its support is All-Elemental, not tied to one element. Light Wave raises every nearby ally's All Elemental Burst Efficiency by 30% for 10 seconds, and her Ultimate, Forest's Blessing, does double duty: it cuts allies' damage taken by 15% and lowers enemies' All Elemental Burst Resistance by 25% for 20 seconds — both offensive and defensive value for any composition.

The passive Saintess's Aid keeps her own Burst economy flowing (+20% Burst Efficiency, +2 Magic Points on Burst), and Divine Forest Swarm adds a low-maintenance AoE damage zone. Personal damage is modest — this path is built to slot into any Burst-focused team as a near-universal enabler.

Path 3 · Earth · Warden

Book — the Earth-team Warden

A defensive Earth enabler: barriers, a hard Petrify Ultimate and Earth amplification.

Book turns Elaine into an Earth-team protector. Guardian's Blossom grants the whole team Barriers worth 135% of her Defense and, while those barriers hold, reduces allies' damage taken by 10%. The passive Saintess's Protection rewards keeping barriers up: while any ally has a Barrier, the team deals +30% Earth damage and +50% Tag Skill damage. Saintess's Domain layers an ally Tag-Gauge regen with a −20% Earth Burst Resistance debuff on enemies.

Her Ultimate, Dust Seal, is the standout: 206% damage plus Petrify for 6 seconds — the target is incapacitated and takes +50% Physical and Earth damage. It is a strong control-and-amplify button for an Earth composition; outside one the Earth-locked buffs fall off, so build it deliberately.

Potential priority

Each path has its own Potential track unlocked with Elaine's Potential Points (Exchange Shop, server-capped).

Across all three paths the pattern is the same: odd levels (1, 3, 8) are flat Attack / Defense / Max HP, while even levels are the meaningful skill amplifiers. You feel the jumps at the amp levels, so prioritise reaching them.

What the amp levels actually do (per data)

  • WandLv2 Normal Skill +10%, Lv4 Ultimate +15%, Lv5 Tag Skill → +50% Normal Skill damage for 20 sec, Lv6 Normal Skill +20%, Lv7 Ultimate final strike +260%, Lv9 Normal Skill +30%, Lv10 +2 Normal Skill projectiles on repeat use.
  • StaffLv2 Normal Skill +15%, Lv4 Normal Attack +8 Burst Gauge, Lv5/Lv7 more enemy Burst-Resistance reduction, Lv6 +10% her Burst Efficiency, Lv9 +10% Ultimate damage-taken reduction, Lv10 +35% Magic Charging Efficiency for allies in Normal-Skill range.
  • BookLv2 Normal +20%, Lv4 +10 sec Saintess's Mark, Lv5 +30% allies' Earth damage with the Mark, Lv6 +10 sec Barriers and lower cooldown, Lv7 Special Attack becomes 2-charge, Lv9 Ultimate +30%, Lv10 +20% team Defense and −20% enemy Earth Resistance.
Weapons & skins

Weapon and gear direction

Elaine's compatible grade-5 weapons and what their passives reward.

Elaine's only grade-5 weapons with passives are the Black Flame Wings line (activating a Burst → +28% Attack and +6% Crit Chance for 10 sec), available on the Wand, Staff and Book weapon types — strongest on the Wand carry, which already crits hard via Saintess's Judgment and Razorwind. On the Staff and Book support paths, raw-damage weapons matter far less than her team buffs, so budget grade-4 options (Crimson Flame, Jet-black) are perfectly fine.

Notable compatible weapons (data-listed)

  • Black Flame Wings (g5)Activating a Burst → +28% Attack and +6% Crit Chance for 10 sec. Available on Wand, Staff and Book.
  • Crimson Flame (g4)Activating a Burst → +28% Attack for 10 sec — a strong budget option on every path.
  • Jet-black (g4)Using the Ultimate Move → 20% chance of +50% Crit Chance for 7 sec; good on the Wand carry.

Costumes

Elaine ships with the default Guardian Saint of the Fountain of Youth costume, a grade-4 skin Temp Employee, and two grade-5 skins in the data: Guiding Light and Cheerful Outing.

Quick answers

FAQ

Which Elaine weapon should I build first?
Staff has the broadest value — its +30% ally Burst Efficiency, −25% enemy Burst Resistance and −15% team damage taken are All-Elemental, so it helps any team. Build Wand if you want her as a Wind crit carry, and Book only for a dedicated Earth team that wants barriers plus a Petrify Ultimate.
Is the Staff path really element-agnostic?
Yes. Light Wave and Forest's Blessing buff All Elemental Burst Efficiency / Resistance, and her passive boosts All Elemental Burst Efficiency — none of it is locked to a single element, which is why Staff Elaine slots into almost any Burst-focused composition.
What does the Wand path's cooldown reduction do?
Whirlwind Veil cuts the Normal Skill cooldown by 3 sec per hit, the Normal Attack's final strike by 1 sec, and the Ultimate Wind Blast by a full 15 sec. Combined with Razorwind's stacking +20% Crit Damage, the path snowballs both uptime and damage during a fight.
Who is Elaine's best Combined-Attack partner?
By the damage values in her data, Drake (461%) is the highest, followed by Meliodas (449%) and King (433%). Her own combo base is 402%, and she has nine verified 3-hero combos — most built around Drake, Daisy or Gilthunder.
What does her world passive do?
Gentle Breeze greatly fills an object's Wind gauge based on charge level — a puzzle/exploration utility for Wind-gauge devices. It has no combat effect and does not change her damage.
